The event currently features 99 of the top prospects in the state of Louisiana.

Louisiana State recruit, IF Gavin Dugas (Houma Christian HS, LA) is set to attend Saturday. Currently ranked No. 4 in Louisiana’s 2018 class, and No. 148 Overall, Dugas is an explosive athlete that has been a consistent high-level performer. Dugas has posted a 6.58 60-yard dash time in the past, proof of the fast-twitch explosiveness he possess. A right-handed hitter, Dugas uses a simple, compact stroke, showing strength at contact, bat speed and consistently puts the barrel on the baseball.

2018 LHP Destin Dotson (Scotlandville HS, LA) is one of the top available players in Louisiana’s 2018 class. With a lanky 6-foot-7, 225-pound frame, there is plenty of upside to like if you are a college coach or professional scout. As recent as a few weeks ago, Dotson showed an uptick in velocity, touching 90 mph. Look for Dotson to be a quick riser, as the athletic southpaw continues to add strength, which should help his ability to consistently sync up his long levered frame.

The event features several members of Louisiana's 2017 PBR Future Games squad, including uncommitted 2019 prospects IF Collier Cranford (Zachary HS, LA) and C Clint Hargrave (Ouachita Christian HS, LA). Cranford has been a fast riser of late, as he shows potential to defend the middle of the field at a high-level with polished actions and arm strength across the diamond. A returning starter for the perennial power, Ouachita Christian HS, Hargrave has shown to be a reliable backstop with quality receiving and blocking skills, and a strong, accurate arm. Additionally, the right-handed hitter peaked our interest during August’s Future Games, putting together consistent quality at-bats, collecting his fair share of hits against some of the top pitching prospects the country has to offer.

The event is loaded with several highly ranked 2021 prospects, including OF/LHP Ben Tate (Teurlings Catholic HS, LA). Although it is still extremely early, Tate looks to be a legitimate two-way prospect moving forward. During July’s Underclass Games, Tate caught the attention of many with his advanced left-handed stroke. Hitting from a simple, balanced setup, he uses a line-drive, gap-to-gap approach with a compact, direct path, and flashes advanced strength at the point of contact.

A pair of highly ranked and athletic left-handed hitting outfielders are also slated to be in attendance Saturday in OF Carter Quinn (Barbe HS, LA) and OF Jacob Bernard (Lakeshore HS, LA). Currently ranked No. 11 in Louisiana’s 2019 class, and No. 248 Overall, Quinn displayed fluid, rangy athleticism with advanced defend tool while on the circuit this summer. Using a line-drive approach, Quinn displays loose, quick hands and generates quality bat speed to his left-handed swing. Currently ranked No. 12 in Louisiana’s 2019 class, and No. 250 Overall, Bernard is a physical 5-foot-11, 190-pound outfielder with clear fast-twitch actions and defined strength in wrists and forearms. An explosive athlete, Bernard possess an elite level run tool that translates well in game situations. A multi-sport star, Bernard is a relative unknown on the national stage at this point, but the highly athletic junior has shown increased polish to his game recently.
