All-State Games: Stats Breakdown

The All-State Games took place on Sunday, October 28th at Alex Box Stadium, home of Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, LA. The invite only event featured 100 of the top prospects – from across the state of Louisiana - complete the 60-yard dash, positional workouts, live batting practice, followed by live game action in the afternoon. Here's a look at the numbers from Sunday's event.

 TOP 60 YARD DASH

There were 20+ sub-7.00-second laser-timed 60-yard dash times recorded on Sunday. Reese Lipoma (St. Amant, 2020) clocked the quickest 60 of the event, posting a time of 6.65-seconds. Issac Williams (Tioga, 2020), Joe Delaney (Brother Martin, 2020), and Louisiana State recruits, Cade Doughty (Denham Springs, 2019) and Brody Drost (Barbe, 2020) followed suit, separated by slim margins.

There were 10+ pitchers that ran their fastballs up to 85 mph or better on Sunday. Southern Miss recruit, Jake Cohen (Brother Martin, 2020) topped the fastball leaderboard touching 90 mph on Sunday. Seaver Sheets (Sterlington, 2021) touched 88 mph, while Brock Barthlemy (Dutchtown, 2020), Louisiana-Lafayette recruit Dylan Carmouche (University Lab, 2020), Cameron Gauthier (Opelousas Catholic, 2020), and Will Kinzeler (Fontainebleau, 2020) each ran their fastballs up to 87 mph.

Seaver Sheets (Sterlington, 2021) showed off his arm strength on Sunday, posting an event best 90 mph positional velocity. While Bryson Connell (Airline, 2020) registered 89 mph across the diamond. Louisiana-Lafayette recruit Reese Smith (Denham Springs, 2021), Mississippi State recruit Davis Meche (Barbe, 2020), Gavin Guidry (Barbe, 2022) and Nico Saltaformaggio (Holy Cross, 2020) round out the leaderboard from Sunday, registering 87 mph from the infield.

10+ players registered 85+ mph positional velocities from the outfield on Sunday, with Louisiana State recruit, Alex Milazzo (Zachary, 2019) topping the leaderboard at 92 mph. Issac Williams (Tioga, 2020) showed off premium arm strength with easy carry on throws and a positional velocity of 90 mph. Louisiana State recruit, Brody Drost (Barbe, 2020) showed why he is one of the best 2020 prospects in the country on Sunday, tossing 89 mph from the outfield with easy carry and accuracy on his throws during the defensive workout.

Louisiana State recruit, Alex Milazzo (Zachary, 2019) is arguably one of the best defensive catchers in the country, and his catch and throw skills were on full display Sunday, posting a PBR-Louisiana event best 1.79-second pop time. Logan Doody (Northshore, 2020) also showed off quality catch and throw skills posting a 1.97-second pop time.
