Yesterday, 2019 RHP Sean Michael Brady (Ascension Episcopal HS, LA) was named the Player of the Week for March 11th – March 18^th. This week’s decision was a tough one, as there were several worthy nominees for the honor. We take a look at the other nominations sent in by coaches around the state in this week’s Diamond Notes.

+ 2019 IF Crew Wilson (Ouachita Christian HS, LA) went 5-for-12 with a HR, 2 Doubles, 5 RBI, 4 runs scored, and a .533 OBP. On the mound he also tossed 6 innings, allowing 1 run on 4 hits, and struck out 10 batters.

+ 2019 1B Dale Fulmer (Ouachita Christian HS, LA) went 8-for-14 with 2 doubles, 5 RBI, and 7 runs scored.

+ 2018 OF Bryce Wallace (Ouachita Christian HS, LA) went 6-for-13 with a HR, 2 doubles, 4 RBI, and 8 runs scored.

+ 2019 1B Jon Mikal Robertson (Bossier High School HS, LA) went 10-for-16, with 2 doubles, 6 RBI, and is now hitting .483 for the season.

+ Texas Southern recruit, 2018 OF RJ Coffee (Central(BR) HS, LA) went 5-for-11 with 2 HR and 3 doubles.

+ 2018 OF Carson Balthazar (Central(BR) HS, LA) went 5-for-11 with a HR, 1 triple, and 1 double.

+ 2018 RHP Hunter Arnold (Central(BR) HS, LA) tossed 7 innings, allowing only 3 hits, while striking out 5 on his way to picking up a win. 

+ Louisiana State recruit, 2018 1B Cade Beloso (John Curtis HS, LA) went 6-for-10 with 2 HR, 1 double, 1 triple, and 6 RBI. He also picked up a win and a save on the mound, collecting 6 strikeouts in 6 innings of work.

+ Noah Frederick (Breaux Bridge HS, LA) went 6-for-11 with 1 double, 2 runs scored, and 5 RBI.

+ Luke Derouen (Breaux Bridge HS, LA) went 4-for-8 with 1 double, 3 RBI, and 4 runs scored.

+ Grayson Simon (Breaux Bridge HS, LA) went 3-for-7 with 2 triples, 5 RBI, and 2 runs scored.

+ 2018 1B Tyler Jackson (Zachary HS, LA) hit .643 on the week with 5 doubles, 1 triple, 8 RBI, and was 5-for-5 in stolen base attempts.

+ 2019 C Cameron Lejeune (Deridder HS, LA) went 9-for-14 with 6 doubles, 2 triples, 8 RBI, and 7 runs scored.

+ 2020 LHP Chipper Menard (Deridder HS, LA) tossed 8.1 innings, allowing 1 earned run on 3 hits, and struck out 16 in two outings.

+ 2018 OF Chandler Leblanc (Erath HS, LA) hit .467 for the week with 10 stolen bases.

+ LSU-Eunice JC recruit, 2018 C Nick Harris (Dunham HS, LA) is hitting .522 thus far on the season with 2 HR, 10 doubles, and 27 RBI.

+ Nicholls State recruit, 2018 LHP Tyler Theriot (Brusly HS, LA) has allowed only 1 earned run on 12 hits in 29.1 innings (0.30 ERA), and struck out 39 on the season.

+ 2018 LHP Dylan Hymel (Lutcher HS, LA) tossed a complete game, picking up the win in a 2-1 victory over Parkview Baptist HS.
