Louisiana-Lafayette recruit, 2017 LHP Austin Perrin, leads the way for the Hahnville Tigers as they enter the 2017 season. Perrin is a veteran, already putting up impressive Sophomore and Junior seasons. A pitchability left-hander, Perrin will sit 82-86 mph, touching 88 mph, and fills the strike zone up with a solid three pitch mix. Nicholls State recruit, Waylon Leblanc, is arguably one of the better defensive shortstops in the state of Louisiana. He shows quality athleticism with fluid footwork, soft hands, and clean, quick transfers.

Coach David Baudry once again looks to have a solid club at Hahnville. The Tigers are a blue-collar club, and have consistently competed at high levels over the years. District 7-5A is always a battle, and the annual showdown with area rival, Destrehan, is one of the best regular season high school baseball rivalries in the state of Louisiana.

The Tigers are a talented and veteran group, that will be strong up the middle on defense with Leblanc at shortstop, 2017 catcher Mason Candies, and athletic centerfielder, 2018 Hunter Leblanc. In addition, Austin Perrin is a legitimate ace that already has a proven track record of winning. If the Tigers can get offensive production from some newcomers, then watch out, they will certainly become a tough beat come playoff time.
