Inside the Rankings Class of 2021: Middle Infielders

With the recent release of our Updated Class of 2021 State Rankings, our scouting staff took a deeper dive into the prospects in the 2021 class. By position, we will comb through the list, highlighting some of the top talent in each class. In this installment, we will take a look at middle infielders in the 2021 class.

Louisiana's 2021 player rankings includes 33 total middle infielders overall including 3 prospects ranked in the top 10, 7 in the top 25 and  and 22 in the top 100. At the top of the middle infield rankings is Louisiana’s No. 1 overall prospect, Connor Simon (St. Pauls HS). The premium defender is a Louisiana State recruit and was a part of our TrackMan demo day last week. Simon is followed up by three other SEC recruits including Arkansas recruit, No. 4 Peyton Stovall (Haughton HS), Louisiana State recruit No. 6 Brennan Holt (Parkview Baptist HS) and Auburn recruit, No. 9 Seaver Sheets (Sterlington HS) who has been impressive on the mound.
