+ Blayne Enlow, RHP, St. Amant HS(2017)

He also showed a solid present breaking ball that projects to get much better down the road, with depth, tight spin, and solid velocity at 77-79 mph. As well, he flashed a solid present change up with fastball arm speed, deception, and late fade action at 80-82 mph. Although he struggles, at times, to immediately put away hitters with his secondary stuff, the clean arm action, projectable body, quick arm speed, and overall athleticism on the mound make him a prospect to keep a close eye on in the near future.

A 6-foot-4, 190-pound right-hander committed to Louisiana Lafayette and number 1 ranked player in Louisiana’s 2015 class and number 25 overall in PBR’s rankings. Athletic, lanky frame with wide shoulders and room to add strength. Long arm action with slight stiffness and wrap on backend, but lightning quick arm speed into a high-3/4 release. In-line delivery with smooth rhythm landing square and athletic with some effort. Pitched a nearly flawless 4 innings of work in one of the more dominant outings you could see. Fastball sat 91-93 mph touching 94 with slight, late run and sink. Pounded the strike zone all night, but is more of a control, than command guy. Breaking ball is inconsistent but flashed a solid average slider with spin and depth at 76-78 mph. Did not throw a change up in game, but flashed an average one in between innings at 77-78 mph with fastball arm speed and fade action. Secondary stuff should project to get better as he has rarely had to use those pitches to this point in his career. An above average athlete that also plays shortstop at a high-level, displays outstanding body language with confidence, intensity, and attacking mentality, as well as showing good teammate qualities. Signability, and whether major league clubs see him as a starter or reliever will determine how high he goes in the draft this June, but there is no doubt he is the premium pitching prospect out of the state of Louisiana.

+ INF, Ryan Reynolds, Ouachita Christian HS (2016)
A 6-foot-2, 200-pound infielder and University of Texas commit with a large, strong frame. Displays soft hands with quality arm strength from second base, but most likely projects to a corner infield position at the next level. A TCU commit and No. 9 in Louisiana's 2015 class, Comeaux showed outstanding athleticism and feel for the game. A solid defensive player with actions, instincts, and understanding of angles. Right-handed hitter with a quality bat path, strike zone discipline and developing strength could allow him to be a solid offensive player down the road. He handled velocity fairly well on Saturday garnering a nice line drive up the middle for a hit.

+ INF, Kirkland Banks, Barbe HS, 2017
The uncommitted sophomore infielder showed outstanding athleticism over the weekend. A short, compact, strong frame with obvious fast twitch ability. Quality actions, feet and feel in the infield with near college average arm strength. Right-handed hitter with short, simple swing, bat speed, and quality path. Can be overmatched at times with velocity, but the outstanding athletic ability could allow him to settle in sooner rather than later.

+ C, Hunter Feduccia, Barbe HS, 2015
A relatively unknown senior catcher, Feduccia was extremely impressive on Saturday. Feduccia displayed quality receiving and blocking skills with college average arm strength and a 2.00.2.05 pop time. Left-handed hitter with smooth stroke, rhythm, bat speed and quality bat path. Feduccia will most certainly be an interesting follow this spring as he should shine for one of the best teams in the state this year.

Brother Martin HS vs Ponchatula HS scimmage {2/16/15}

+ LHP/OF, Blair Frederick, Brother Martin HS, 2016
The 6-foot-2 left-hander and LSU commit was electric in his two inning outing. He pitched 87-89 mph touching 91 several times and even a few 92s. A clean and extremely fast arm with a simple, repeatable delivery that creates loads of deception. Hides the release point very well to both right-handers and left-handers. Slider was 78-80 mph with hard, tight spin. Overall inconsistent on the day, but threw a few that were above average left-handed sliders with wipe-out action.

+ INF, Michael Kirsch, Brother Martin HS, 2016
An interesting athlete that has yet to see much action on the varsity level. A physical 6-foot-1 frame with fast twitch actions (4.4 on turn to 1st). Showed soft hands and arm strength on the infield playing both 3rd base and shortstop. Right-handed hitter with short, compact swing, quality bat path and near college average bat speed. Will be an interesting follow this spring.

+ RHP/1B,Simon Landry, Ponchatula HS, 2016
The physical right-hander located the fastball at 82-83 mph and spun a slightly above high school average breaking ball with depth. The right-handed hitter showed some loose, whippy bat speed with power potential as he turned around a 91 mph fastball for a run-scoring hit.

+ OF, Chritsian Campbell, Ponchatula HS, 2015
A raw athletic specimen that will be attending Georgia Tech on a football scholarship. Showed arm strength and athleticism in the outfield. Right-handed hitter with strength at contact and bat speed but showed a big run tool getting down the line at 4.03 seconds.

+ C, Jonathan Parker, Brother Martin HS, 2015
The uncommitted right-handed hitting catcher showed some development in his catch and throw skills, as well as launching a home run to left-center field gap in game action.

Jesuit HS vs East Ascension HS scrimmage {2/14/15}

+ RHP, Jack Burk, Jesuit HS, 2015
The 6-foot-4 right-hander was impressive in his two innings of work as he filled up the strike zone. He pitched at 85-87 mph and touched 88 mph with quality downhill tilt and occasional late life. Although he has a significant wrist wrap and throws slightly across the body, which creates some deception, he repeats well with little effort and a quick, fairly clean arm action. He flashed a near college average breaking ball with sweeping slurve action at 73-75 mph that had correct spin and depth.

+ RHP, Sean Bretz, Jesuit HS, 2016
A 6-foot-6, 200-pound right-hander from Jesuit HS with a long, lean and projectable frame. Bretz pitched at an effortless 84-86 mph with quality downhill action and occasional life. Simple, in-line and repeatable delivery with a clean, quick arm. Showed a college average change up with arm speed, deception, depth and late life at 73-76. Breaking ball is still a work in progress at 68-70 mph, but it showed developing spin and occasional quality depth.

+ SS/OF, Nick Ray, Jesuit HS, 2017
A 6-foot-2, 200-pound sophomore with an extremely advanced, athletic and physical frame. Showed outstanding athleticism, quick first step, quality actions and near college average arm strength at shortstop. Right-handed hitter with an overall raw plate approach and bat path, but shows good hand-eye coordination and bat speed.

+ LHP/1B/OF, Tristian Babin, East Ascension HS, 2015
The 6-foot-3 left-hander, and Nicholls State commit, pitched at 84-86 mph with a simple, clean delivery and a quick, clean, compact arm action. Breaking ball is still a work in progress, but he flashed a college average changeup with arm speed and late life. Athletic left-handed hitter with simple set-up, quality bat path, and bat speed. Showed outstanding athleticism defensively with tracking speed and arm strength as an outfielder, and soft hands and a true feel for first base.
