Thanks to the technology of Google Analytics we are able to drill down into the Prep Baseball Report website and, in particular, see what pages get the most page views. This feedback assists us in adjusting and adapting our coverage. It's also interesting to see what our readership likes the most.

Below we take a look at the Top 10 most read Louisiana high school player profiles from September 2017:

Gus Milligan OF / RHP / St Louis Catholic, LA / 2020

Louisiana State recruit, currently ranked No. 7 in Louisiana's 2020 class. Lean, athletic 6-foot-2, 175-pound frame. Showed athleticism running a 6.75 60-yard dash. Right-handed hitter that hits from balanced, athletic setup, subtle leg lift, and solid balance. Line-drive type approach with flat path, rhythm and bat speed; produced exit velocity of 89 mph. Outfielder with average hands, solid footwork, long exchanges while working through athletically. Long arm action into high-3/4 release with accuracy on throws and developing arm strength, produced a positional velocity of 73 mph. Right-handed pitcher throwing from high- ¾ release, with solid balance and regular effort. Developing rhythm with level shoulders, inline direction, landing tall and finishing athletically. Fastball sat 73-77 mph with slight arm side run, showing ability to command for strike. Breaking ball showed 11/5-shape with early, developing action and near fastball arm speed at 67-71 mph.

Right-handed hitter that hits from athletic setup, smooth load, short stride, solid lower half and balance. Line-drive type hitter with fluid rhythm, short path, solid approach and bat speed that produced an exit velocity of 75 mph. Also posted a 6.91 60-yard dash. Right-handed pitcher with short, loose arm action into high-3/4 release with solid arm speed and regular effort. Smooth rhythm, level shoulders, falls off to third base, lands square and finishes athletic. Fastball sits 80-83 mph, touching 85 mph, with slight run and control. Breaking ball showed 10/4 shape, sharp break and near fastball arm speed at 65-67 mph. Also showed a changeup with ASR action and near fastball arm speed at 71-72 mph.

Tre' Morgan 1B / OF / Brother Martin , LA / 2020

Athletic 6-foot, 180-pound frame, athletic build, long limbs, room to project. Fluid athletic runner that posted a 7.16 60-yard dash. Left-handed hitter that hits from athletic setup, smooth load, short stride, solid lower half and balance. Line drive, pull type hitter with fluid rhythm, flat path that flashed ability to create natural life showing strength at contact and bat speed that produced an exit velocity of 92 mph. Quality defender with soft hands, developing footwork and above average athleticism for his position. Long arm action into high-3/4 release with arm strength and carry on throws that produced a positional velocity of 81 mph.

Jake Cohen RHP / OF / Brother Martin, LA / 2020

Southern Miss recruit. Average 5-foot-9, 160-pound frame, room to add strength and size. Short arm action into high-3/4 release, average arm speed, solid balance point and some effort. Choppy rhythm, level shoulders, and falls off to third base slightly. Fastball sits 80-83 mph, touching 85 mph with occasional life, and control. Breaking ball showed 12/6 shape with gradual break, near fastball arm speed and control in the strike zone at 62-63 mph. Also showed a changeup with near fastball arm speed and control at 72-73 mph.

Blake Shapen SS / Evangel Christian Academy, LA / 2020

Uncommitted. 6-foot-1, 180-pound, strong, advanced frame for his class. Currently the No. 1 Ranked player in LA, and No. 53 Overall. Shapen ran a 6.98-second 60-yard dash on our watch. The right-handed hitter has an easy stride and advanced approach for his age, using the middle of the field during BP with hard contact. He has advanced, clean, easy actions at shortstop and moves with fluid footwork. Not often that a rising sophomore competes in the game at Area Code Tryouts but Shapen stood out even among players two years older. High ceiling and outstanding tool set.

Peyton Lejeune 3B / RHP / Teurlings Catholic, LA / 2019

Louisiana-Lafayette recruit. Strong, athletic 6-foot, 175-pound frame. Quality defender with soft hands, fluid footwork, clean exchanges, and plays through balls athletically. Short arm action into high-3/4 release with carry and accuracy on throws that produced a positional velocity of 82 mph. Switch-hitter that hits from open, balanced, athletic setup, smooth leg lift load, short stride and excellent balance. Line-drive, gap to gap type hitter with smooth, fluid rhythm, strength at contact, level path and bat speed that produced an exit velocity of 87 mph from left side and 89 mph on right side. Also posted a 7.35 60-yard dash.

 

 

Cade Doughty SS / OF / Denham Springs, LA / 2019

Louisiana State recruit, currently ranked No. 1 in Louisiana's 2019 class, No. 7 Overall. Athletic 6-foot-1, 180-pound frame, wiry strength, room to add strength and size. Extremely advanced bat with barrel awareness, strength and bat speed. Hits to all fields and showing power to his pull side, posting an exit velocity of 95 mph as well. Right-handed hitter that hits from balanced, athletic setup, smooth load, short stride and explosive lower half. Gap to gap, line-drive type hitter with fluid rhythm and a level path that creates natural leverage. Solid defender with average hands, fluid footwork, clean exchange, and plays through balls well. Long arm action into high-3/4 release with accuracy and carry on throws that produced a positional velocity of 86 mph. Quality athlete that posted a 6.75 60 yard dash.

Matthew Bihm OF / LHP / Centreville Academy, LA / 2020

Athletic 5-foot-11, 183-pound frame. Left-handed hitter hits from tall, open, athletic setup, working backwards with leg lift, and loose rhythm. Gap-to-gap type approach with level swing path, fluid rhythm, and advanced bat speed; produced exit velocity of 97 mph. Outfielder with soft hands, fluid footwork, clean exchanges while playing through ball athletically. Long, loose, arm action into high-3/4 release with accuracy and solid arm strength, produced a positional velocity of 84 mph. Showed some athleticism running a 7.05 60-yard dash.

Thomas Wilhite RHP / 3B / West Ouachita, LA / 2019

Louisiana State recruit. Strong 6-foot-2, 185-pound frame, durable build with thick, powerful lower half. Medium, clean arm stroke into high-3/4 release with quick arm speed, and little effort. Fluid, athletic delivery with level shoulders, in-line direction, lands square and finishes athletic. Cemented himself as one of the top arms in Louisiana's 2019 class, showing quality stuff at the nation's premier underclass event. Tossed three innings over two days at the Future Games, sitting 87-91 mph with downward tilt on the fastball, showing solid control of the pitch. Presently, the change-up is his best secondary pitch, showing fastball arm speed, deception, and depth to the offering that flashes hard, late fading action at 78-82 mph. Primarily uses a curveball, when spinning the baseball that shows 11/5 shape, fastball arm speed, and depth at 72-75 mph. However, he flashed a slider with sharpness, tighter spin and late break at 77-80 mph.

Alex Milazzo C / OF / Zachary, LA / 2019

Louisiana State recruit. Medium 5-foot-10, 170-pound frame, athletic build. Premium, elite defender with soft hands, quick, athletic footwork, above average receiving ability and quality blocking skills. Extremely quick and clean transfers with short arm action into high-3/4 release with accuracy and plus carry on throws that produced a positional velocity of 82 mph and a pop time of 1.86-seconds. Showed off his big arm strength all weekend, keeping runners honest with lightning quick back-pick attempts, and cutting down the only steal attempt against all weekend with consistent strong, accurate throws. Right-handed hitter that hits from an athletic setup, smooth load, leg lift and quality lower half. Gap to gap type hitter with fluid rhythm, short path, advanced approach and bat speed that produced an exit velocity of 90 mph. Also posted a 6.93 60 yard dash.
