On Saturday, August 20, prospects from across the state of Louisiana participated in the Prep Baseball Report North Louisiana Open at Centenary College in Shreveport, LA.

Today, Prep Baseball Report Louisiana takes a look at the infielders that were in attendance.

Infielders

+ Collin Cloinger, 1B, Parkway HS(2019)
A 5-foot-9, 165-pound first baseman with a medium, athletic frame. Solid defender with average hands, fluid footwork, and clean exchanges. Short arm action into high-3/4 release with accuracy on throws that produced a positional velocity of 66 mph. Left-handed hitter that hits from balanced setup, short stride, smooth load, and solid lower half. Line-drive type hitter with solid rhytm, short, level path and bat speed that produced an exit velocity of 80 mph. Also posted an 8.40 60 yard dash.

+ Reid Dubois, INF, Captain Shreve HS(2018)
A 5-foot-10, 180-pound infielder with a medium, strong frame. Right-handed hitter that hits from balanced, athletic setup, smooth load, short stride and quality balance. Line-drive, gap to gap type hitter with fluid rhythm, level, slightly uphill path with strength at contact and bat speed that produced an exit velocity of 86 mph. Quality defender with soft hands, solid footwork, and fields athletically. Long arm action into high-3/4 release with accuracy on throws that produced a positional velocity of 82 mph. Solid athlete that posted a 7.25 60 yard dash.

+ Luke Honeycutt, INF, West Ouachita HS(2018)
A 6-foot, 190-pound infielder with a strong, athletic frame. Left-handed hitter that hits from balanced setup, smooth load, short stride and quality balance. Line-drive, gap to gap type hitter with slightly early rhythm, level to uphill path with strength at contact and bat speed that produced an exit velocity of 87 mph. Solid defender with soft hands, solid footwork and fields athletically. Long arm action into mid-3/4 release with carry and accuracy on throws that produced a positional velocity of 82 mph.

+ Kelly Walker, 1B, Evangel HS(2018)
A 6-foot, 178-pound first baseman with a strong, athletic frame. Solid defender with average hands, solid footwork and clean exchanges. Long arm action into high-3/4 release with accuracy on throws that produced a positional velocity of 57 mph. Right-handed hitter that hits from balanced setup, smooth load, short stride and solid balance. Line-drive type hitter with some rhythm, level path and bat speed that produced an exit velocity of 76 mph. Also posted an 8.50 60 yard dash.

+ Skyler Whetstone, INF, Ouachita HS(2018)
A 5-foot-10, 140-pound infielder with an athletic, lean frame. Solid defender with average hands, fluid footwork, and clean exchanges. Short arm action into high-3/4 release with some accuracy on throws that produced a positional velocity of 65 mph. Right-handed hitter that hits from balanced, athletic setup, smooth load, short stride and solid balance. Line-drive type hitter with some rhythm, level path and bat speed that produced an exit velocity of 69 mph. Also posted a 7.35 60 yard dash.
