Scouting Report: Currently ranked No. 15, and the No. 1 catcher, in Louisiana’s 2017 class. Lean 6-foot, 165-pound frame, athletic build, lots of room to add strength and size. The top ranked unsigned senior in Louisiana, has shown high-level catch and throw ability. Outstanding defender with soft hands, fluid footwork, receiving and blocking skills, and looseness in hips. Short arm action into high-3/4 release with quality arm strength, carry and accuracy on throws that produced a positional velocity of 83 mph and a pop time of 1.85. Right-handed hitter that hits from balanced, athletic setup, smooth load, short stride and quality balance. Line-drive type hiiter with solid rhythm, level path, strength at contact and bat speed that produced an exit velocity of 88 mph. Solid athlete that posted a 7.15 60-yard dash.

PBR: What schools have you been hearing from?
Blanchard: LSU Eunice,  Southeastern Louisiana, and Spring Hill College.

PBR: Have you developed a relationship with any specific coaches?
Blanchard: I enjoyed my time with Coach Gipson at Southeastern Louisiana. I've also had a few conversations with Coach Orgain at LSU-Eunice. We both agreed to stay in touch with one another. 

PBR: Have you taken any unofficial visits? If so, please describe each visit. 
Blanchard: I have not.  

PBR: Do you have any visits scheduled?
Blanchard: No none yet.  

PBR: Do you have any offers at this stage?
Blanchard: No, I have no offers at this point. 

PBR: Do you have a timeline for your recruitment?
Blanchard: I would like to make a commitment prior to the start of my final high school season.

PBR: Do you have a favorite at this stage?
Blanchard: Not at the present time.

PBR: GPA/ACT?
Blanchard: 3.4 and a 26 on the act. 

PBR: What showcases or events have been most meaningful to your recruitment thus far?
Blanchard: The Preseason All-State Games has been the one of the most meaningful and fun showcase I've attended. The atmosphere and talent level of players made for a good competitive challenge. I also enjoyed then 4-day camp at Southeastern. It gave me the opportunity to get comfortable and interact with the coaching staff which I liked. I learned a lot there.
