The Top 5

Our Top 5 remains unchanged for the first time this season.  Barbe and Sam Houston faced off this past week in back to back district games.  On Thursday, the Bucs took Game 1 by a score of 3-1 and they nearly took Game 2 on Saturday.  Barbe was leading by one run going into the 7th innings, before Sam Houston came storming back to take a 4-2 lead to give the Bucs their first loss of the season.  Catholic (BR) had an undefeated 5-0 week, with close one-run games against Central Lafourche and Destrehan.  West Monroe went 3-1 on the week, as the Rebels dropped a district game to Pineville on Thursday.  Sulphur also went 3-1 on the week.  The Tors dropped a game to St. Thomas More last Monday, before winning three straight district games.

Risers

+ Parkway moves into the Top 10 for the first time this season, after a 4-0 record last week, outscoring their opponents 49-9.

+ Pineville has been a steady riser this season.  The Rebels went 1-1 last week in two district matchups against West Monroe, where they won the first game 7-4 and nearly won the second game, before losing 8-6.

+ St. Charles has wont their last 7 games, moving their overall record to 12-4-1 on the season.  The Comets had big wins last week over Lutcher and Dutchtown.

+ St. Louis has been arguably the hottest team in the state over the last couple of weeks.  The Saints have won their last 7 games by sweeping both Benton and St. Thomas More in three game series.
