The Pitcher Showcase and Analysis is coming January 7th to The Kastle in Mandeville, LA. This event will bring several arms from around the state of Louisiana together for extended bullpen sessions, as well as instruction, and a recruiting/scouting talk. As we lead up to the event, just a few days away, we will continue to preview several of the top players scheduled to be in attendance.
Bart Lane Thomas
Currently ranked No. 16 in Louisiana’s 2018 class. Lean 6-foot-1, 160-pound frame, athletic build, projects well. Long, loose arm action into a high-3/4 release with quick arm speed, solid balance, and regular effort. Smooth rhythm, level shoulders, in-line direction, lands square and finishes upright. Fastball sits 84-86 mph with slight run and command. Breaking ball shows 11/5 shape with gradual break and fastball arm speed at 69-71 mph. Flashes a change up with fastball arm speed and fade action at 76-78 mph.
