Player Of The Week: C Clint Hargrave

Southeastern Louisiana recruit, 2019 C Clint Hargrave (Ouachita Christian HS, LA) has been named this week’s Prep Baseball Report Louisiana Player of the Week thanks to his outstanding performance at the plate last week.

Hargrave finished the week 11-for-20 (.550) with five doubles, one triple, one home run, and 11 RBI.

For his efforts, Hargrave has been named the Prep Baseball Report Louisiana Player of the Week for the week of February 25 – March 4.

11/4/17 Currently ranked No. 20 in Louisiana’s 2019 class. Athletic 6-foot, 170-pound frame, strong build. Quality defender with soft hands, fluid footwork, and quick, clean exchanges. Short arm action into high-3/4 release with accuracy on throws that produced a positional velocity of 75 mph and a pop time ranging 1.99-2.1-seconds. Showed off quality defensive skills, presenting a strong, firm target, receives the baseball quietly, and showed quality blocking skills. Right-handed hitter that hits from athletic setup, smooth load, leg kick and quality lower half. Gap to gap type hitter with fluid rhythm, slightly uphill path and bat speed that produced an exit velocity of 87 mph. Found consistent barrel all weekend during live game action, handling velocity with fluid, aggressive swings. Also posted 7.37 60-yard dash.
