West Monroe OF Jacob Pearson has been named this week’s Prep Baseball Report Louisiana Player of the Week thanks to his outstanding performance at the plate last week for the Rebels.

Pearson, a Louisiana State recruit and ranked No. 3 in the Louisiana 2017 class, No. 20 Overall, No. 38 in the PBR Draft 100, was a big part of the success this weekend for West Monroe, who went 4-0 on the weekend.

Pearson went 7 for 11 with one home run, two doubles, one triple, four stolen bases and walked twice.

For his efforts, Pearson has been named the Prep Baseball Report Louisiana Player of the Week for the week of February 28 – March 6.
