On Saturday November 7, more than 50 of the best prospects from all across the state of Louisiana participated in a pro-style workout and two games at Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, LA in front of the PBR Louisiana Scouting Staff and dozens of college coaches and professional scouts. Below is a look at some of the statistical leaders as well as the complete list of showcase stats.

Top 60 Yard Dash

Toolsy, 2016 infielder from Brother Martin HS, and Tulane commit, Michael Kirsch, showed eye-opening athleticism running a 6.51 60 yard dash with a strong, athletic frame.

Unsigned Junior, Mickey Toscano (Holy Cross HS), showed fast twitch actions posting a 6.62 60 yard dash.

One of the top draft prospects of Louisiana’s ’16 class, Jake Slaughter, likely improved his stock after posting a 6.66 60 yard dash.

Top Positional Velocities

Louisiana Lafayette commit, Caleb Armstrong (Ouachita Parish HS), showed premium arm strength from the OF that included a positional velocity of 90 mph.

Outfielder, Zane Zeppuhar (St. Amant HS), showed solid arm strength posting a positional velocity of 86 mph.

2016 LSU commit, SS Josh Smith (Catholic(BR) HS), continues to show advanced defensive ability, which includes solid arm strength and a positional velocity of 84 mph.

Texas commit, Ryan Reynolds (Ouachita Christian HS) showed why he is one of the premium bats in Louisiana recording a 95 mph exit velocity.

Top Fastball Velocities

ULL commit, Haden Erbe (Crowley HS, RHP), continues to rise as one of the best 2016 arms in the state as he sat 89-92 mph.

LSU commit, ’18 Landon Marceaux (Destrehan HS, RHP), was perhaps one of the more impressive outings at a PBR-Louisiana event sitting 87-89 mph with little effort, plus pitchability and a quality 4-pitch mix and command.

LSU commit, Miguel Reyes (Lafayette HS, RHP), unsigned ’16 RHP Aaron George and uncommitted ’17 RHP Ma’Khail Hilliard showed extremely well with fastballs that touched 88 mph.
