Part of a strong class in the state of Louisiana, Pearson is a dynamic player and stands at a lean and strong 5-foot-10, 190 pounds. The Louisiana State recruit ran a 6.5 60 at TOS and then a 6.83 at East Coast Pro. Hitting from the left side, he takes a direct, level path to the ball and uses good bat speed to produce hard line drives to the middle and his pull side with ability to turn on good velocity. He is spread out at the plate, doesn’t stride and maintains solid balance. He has strength in his swing and is geared toward hitting line drives in the gap and utilizing his speed to get extra bases. Arm strength has never been a weapon for Pearson, but he has shown improvement in that area and it’s a playable tool for center field.
