By Nathan Rode and PBR Staff

Most of the country is finally playing games and plenty of players are off to good starts. Listed alphabetically below are several worth highlighting. Some are draft prospects. Some are uncommitted. Some are seniors. Some are juniors. All of their opponents should take note.

Jake Allen, LHP, Colerain HS, OH (2016)
The 6-foot-4, projectable southpaw didn't disappoint in his first outing of the high school season, going six innings and striking out 10 while only walking one. He uses an up tempo delivery and attacks the zone with his fastball that sits 81-83 mph with good arm-side run. He showcased a solid breaking ball with good 1/7 tilt at 69-70 mph and only threw his changeup a couple times with good arm speed and fade.
