Unsigned Senior Showcase: Stats Breakdown

The Unsigned Senior Showcase took place on Sunday, January 22nd, at Bayou Segnette Field (home of Loyola University New Orleans) in Westwego, LA. The open event saw some of the top unsigned seniors from across the state of Louisiana.

2017 OF/C Ryan Cupit (West Monroe) made some noise at the event during batting practice, turning in one of the best rounds of the day. A simple, compact left-handed swing, Cupit shows a gap-to-gap approach with feel to hit.

2017 IF Ryan Zimmerman (Fontainebleau) is one to watch this spring. An athletic 6-foot-2, 195-pound frame, athletic build, wiry strength. Zimmerman started the day off posting a 6.75 60-yard dash, showing quality athleticism for his long frame. He also flashed left-handed raw power, posting a 93 mph exit velocity.

2017 SS/RHP Kendrick LeJeune (Jennings) showed off an impressive arsenal of tools on Sunday. An athletic 6-foot, 175-pound frame, the infielder flashed solid actions and arm strength across the diamond with an 85 mph positional velocity. The left-handed hitter also posted an 88 mph exit velocity, and a 6.9 60-yard dash. For good measure, he touched 85 mph during his bullpen session.
