Yesterday, the Prep Baseball Report named 2018 1B Cade Beloso (John Curtis) Player Of The Week, for the week of February 20th through February 27th. The Tulane recruit went 8 for 10 with 4 doubles, 2 home runs and 8 RBI in his first week of play.

Although Beloso took away the honor for the first week, our inbox was flooded with several worthy nominees from high school coaches around the state. Let’s take a look at some of the players around the state who put up impressive numbers last week:

Cade Doughty, IF, Denham Springs, 2019
A Louisiana State recruit, Doughty went 10 for 14 with 2 doubles, 1 triple, and 3 stolen bases.

Braden Doughty, C, Denham Springs, 2017
Doughty went 5 for 10 with a walk and hit by pitch during the first week of play.

Jay Curtis, C, John Curtis, 2018
Curtis went 5 for 11 with 3 home runs, 1 double and 10 runs batted in during his first week of play.

Cameron Sibley, IF, Dutchtown, 2017
Sibley went 7 for 16 with 2 doubles, 2 triples, 8 runs batted in, hitting .438 for the week.

Christopher Collet, C, Holy Cross, 2018
Collet went 4 for 9 with a homerun, 2 triples, 4 runs batted in, and was intentionally walked twice.

Brayden Jobert, IF, Northshore, 2019
An Alabama recruit, Jobert went 5 for 10 with 2 home runs, 2 runs batted in, 1 double and 5 runs scored.

Champ Artigues, IF, St. Thomas Aquinas, 2018
Artigues went 5 for 9 with 3 runs batted in, 3 stolen bases, 4 runs scored, and walked 3 times.

Luke Sweeney, IF, St. Thomas Aquinas, 2019
Sweeney went 5 for 10 with 4 doubles, and 5 runs batted in on the week.

Alex Egan, RHP, St. Thomas Aquinas, 2018
Egan picked up his first win of the year, going 5 innings, striking out 9, walking none, while only allowing 2 hits and 0 earned runs.

Tyler Theriot, LHP, Brusly, 2018
Theriot went 2-0 on the week, pitching 13 innings, allowing 0 runs, 5 hits, and struck out 14.

Reid Bourque, SS, Sam Houston, 2017
A McNeese State recruit, Bourque hit .529 for the week with 4 doubles, 1 home run, 3 runs batted in, and 4 stolen bases.

Garret Hable, 2B, Benton, 2018
Hable hit .529 for the week with 3 doubles, 12 runs batted in, 4 stolen bases, and 10 runs scored.

Austin Perrin, LHP, Hahnville, 2017
A Louisiana-Lafayette recruit, Perrin went 6 innings, striking out 8, walking none, while only surrendering 4 hits and 2 earned runs to pick up his first victory of the year.

Charlie Gallusser, C, North Vermilion, 2017
Gallusser went 9 for 13 with 4 doubles, and 12 runs batted in during the first week of play.

Lloyd Nash, OF, St. Charles Catholic, 2018
Nash went 5 for 9 with 1 double, 1 triple, 5 runs batted in, 5 runs scored and 4 stolen bases this week.

Bryce Wallace, OF, Ouachita Christian, 2018
