Prep Baseball Louisiana: 2026 State Rankings Update (December 2024)

The 2024 fall season has come to an end, which means it's time for an update to our state rankings.  This fall, our staff was able to get out to see more teams and players than ever before, as we saw a record number of players come through our events.  Today, we continue our month long stretch of state rankings updates with the 2026 class.  We've expanded the list to 220 prospects and although there wasn't a lot of movement at the top, there were still plenty of risers throughout the entire group.  Below, we give a snapshot of the Top 10, dive into the Top 3, and list out the top uncommitted players for this class.  Be sure to follow us, across all of our social media platforms, as we continue to provide more content and coverage on our state rankings update.

Louisiana 2026 Class: Top 10

TOP 3 (DEEP DIVE)

+ 2026 RHP Hayes Holton (Loranger HS)

The Loranger product moved into the #1 spot in our last update and maintains his hold on the top spot to end the year.  Holton was terrific at the Future Games this past summer, as he tossed two shutout innings and gave up only 1 H with 4 K's, while running his FB up to 93 mph.  Shortly after the Future Games, Holton headed over to the East Coast Pro Showcase where he ran his FB up to a personal best 96 mph.  Last month, he announced his commitment to Mississippi State University.

+ 2026 LHP Bradyn Cupit (West Monroe HS)

The LSU recruit remains at #2 in this State Rankings update and is the Bayou State's top southpaw in the 2026 class.  Cupit looks to follow-up a sensational sophomore campaign this spring, after posting a 9-1 record and 1.57 ERA with 89 K's to only 17 BB's for the Rebels last season.  He and teammate Drew Ferguson will headline what looks to be arguably the best "One-Two" pitching punch in the entire state.
