Quick Hits: Lutcher Scout Day
January 21, 2025
Lutcher, LA - On Saturday, January 18, 2025, the Prep Baseball Louisiana staff traveled to Lutcher High School, to host our Lutcher Scout Day, which featured prospects from the Lutcher High School baseball program in the 2025-2028 classes. Each participant went through a pro-style workout that consisted of running a laser-timed 60 yard dash using Vald Performance, defensive evaluations, and batting practice using Trackman Baseball. Pitchers finished the day off by throwing a bullpen with Trackman Baseball to receive all of their data and metrics. Below, we take a look at some of the top performers from Saturday's event.

+ 2025 INF/RHP Marshall Louque (Lutcher HS)
The former Future Gamer and LSU recruit had another really good showing on Saturday at our Lutcher Scout Day. On the mound, he effortlessly works through a simple delivery and uses a shorter arm stroke to release the ball from a 3/4 slot. Louque flashed both a four-seam and two-seam FB in the 87-89 mph range and located each of them to both sides of the plate. He also landed his "11-5" shaped 71-73 mph CB and 76-77 mph SL for strikes, while also showing advanced feel to pull the strings on a 77-78 mph CH. At the plate, he took a couple of professional rounds of BP, as he flicked the bat head through the zone to drive the ball from gap-to-gap with a max exit velocity of 100.3 mph. Like he's done each of his first three seasons in a Lutcher Bulldog uniform, we fully expect Louque to cap of his high school career with a big senior campaign.

+ 2027 LHP Dylan Delaneuville (Lutcher HS)
The sophomore southpaw was one of the bigger surprises of last weekend, and is a guy that we're going to continue to monitor moving forward. He works through a quicker delivery and is a smooth mover down the mound with a clean arm path. Delaneuville spotted his 82-85 mph FB well, espeically to the glove-side, and he showed feel for spin with his 73-74 mph SL that was sharp with late break down in the zone. As he continues to mature and add strength, the velocity and stuff should continue to tick up.

+ 2026 LHP Cameron DeRoche (Lutcher HS)
We last saw the junior left-hander at our State Games event last fall, and he looks to have improved quite a bit over the off-season. DeRoche works off the third base side of the rubber through a simple and repeatable delivery, before using a full arm stroke to release the ball from a 3/4 slot. His velocity wasn't overpowering, as he ranged 80-81 mph with his heater, but it played up, thanks to an average induced vertical break of 22.6". DeRoche's feel for spin is his real separator, as his upper-60's CB and low-70's SL both spun between 2802-2881 RPM's, and they both had their own shape. If he can command the baseball like he did on Saturday, he should have a very successful junior campaign for the Bulldogs.

+ 2026 RHP/UTL Dane Bodin (Lutcher HS)
The uncommitted junior two-way will be a big part of Lutcher's plans this season, both as an arm and at the plate and on defense. His best tool is undoubtedly his arm, as he got up to 90 mph from the outfield and was accurate on his throws to home plate, and he was also up to 87 mph across the diamond. On the mound, he works through an athletic delivery and sinks well into his back hip, before moving down the slope. Bodin's FB sat in the 81-83 mph range and had an average induced vertical break of 19.8". He also showed some feel for spin with a low-70's CB with spin rates of 2288-2459, and he flashed a firmer 77-79 mph CH with arm-side sink & run.

+ 2026 C/RHP Bryson Keller (Lutcher HS)
Physical 6'2" 190 lbs. frame with some room to still add on more weight in the future. Keller had a nice all-around day on Saturday. A solid receiver and blocker, he showed above-average arm strength at 79 mph from the crouch with pop times of 2.00-2.16. The right-handed hitter starts with a higher hand-set and drops the bat head straight down to the ball and stays on the plane of each pitch through extension. Keller flashed some juice to the pull-side with a max exit velocity of 91.2 mph and did so while maintaining balance from start to finish.

Physical @PB_Uncommitted junior backstop. 79 mph from the crouch with pop times of 2.00-2.16. Gap-to-gap hitter with present pull-side juice 👍. #BeSeen@AlexArmandPBR | @Tyler__Leary pic.twitter.com/GcrcJbEc6O
+ 2027 C Dalton St. Pierre (Lutcher HS)
The Bulldogs have the luxury of having two really good backstops with St. Pierre being one of them. He's built how a backstop should be built with a sturdy and physical 6'0" 190 lbs. frame. St. Pierre did an excellent job receiving and blocking, while also showing a good arm from the crouch (76 mph) and pop times of 2.12-2.16. Offensively, there's some present bat speed and strength in his hands, and he did a really good job of driving the baseball to the opposite-field gap with a max exit velocity of 91.5 mph.
