We would like to thank all who participated in PBR New England's Preseason College Prospect Showcase. This was a great opportunity for 2016, '17, '18, and '19 prospects to be put on college radars. Many players impressed during their individual workouts at the showcase. Below we have the complete statistical results from the event as well as the top performers across various different categories. 

In the coming weeks, we will be adding and updating profiles for each of the players in attendance, including complete analysis and video.

Ian Seymour, LHP/OF, St. Johns, 2017

Aidan McLaughlin, C, Xaverian Brothers, 2017
Scouting Report: 6-foot-1, 170-pound solid, athletic build. From the behind the plate he starts with a wide base. Shows good footwork with a clean exchange. Throws from a clean high-¾ slot with pop times ranging between 2.0-2.1 and 73 mph arm strength. Right-handed hitter with a spread out base that keeps him balance. Flat bat path that stays in the hitting zone with good lower ½ weight transfer. Registered 83 mph exit velocity off a tee and ran 7.65-60.

Brendan Cournoyer, RHP, Berkshire, 2017
Scouting Report: 6-foot-4, 250-pound big body build. On the mound the right-hander has a quick tempo delivery that he is able to repeat. From a short, loose-¾ slot his fastball gets on you quick at 81-83 mph with arm-side run. Shows really good depth on his breaking ball at 67-69 mph with 11/5 10/4 tilt. Threw a changeup near fastball speed at 77-79 mph with occasional arm-side run.

Brandon Levesque, SS/RHP, Pinkerton Academy, 2017
Scouting Report: 5-foot-11, 155 pounds with a long legged frame. The right hander uses a tall/fall approach on the mound while using high-¾ slot. Showed tendency to land closed. Fastball sat between 67-69 mph while showing some cut at times as he would get inside of the baseball. The breaking ball features 11/5 tilt with some slow, gradual movement while sitting 59-61 mph. His 63-64 mph changeup showed some movement while being thrown with near fastball arm speed. In the infield he fields the ball into his body and needs to create more rhythm approaching the ball. From a high-¾ slot he showed 66 mph arm strength across the diamond. Right-handed hitter that stands tall and open. Uses a high leg kick to load and gets back to even. Swing tends to get long and in and out of the hitting zone. Registered top exit velocity of 69 mph and ran 7.97-60.

Bryant Dana, C/OF, Lynnfield, 2017
Scouting Report: 6-foot, 150-pound athletic build. From the crouch he sits back their real quiet. Shows solid footwork and a clean exchange. From a high-¾ slot his pop times ranged from 2.19-2.37 with 67 mph arm strength down to second. Left-handed hitter that stands tall with small stride with good load and rhythm in his swing. Short compact swing with 74 mph exit velocity and ran 7.91-60.

Cam O’Toole, C, Grafton, 2017
Scouting Report: 5-foot-8, 160-pound solid build. From behind the plate he starts in a high crouch. Shows a quick transfer but needs to improve footwork to get his feet under him and on line. From a short high-¾ slot his pop times ranged from 2.12-2.18 and show 71 mph velocity down to second.

Danny Ryan, RHP/1B, Rockport, 2017
Scouting Report: 6-foot-3, 192 pounds with a long, lanky frame. The projectable right handed arm shows easy effort delivery in his delivery while using a high ¾ slot. Two-pitch mix. Using short, stiff arm action he displayed consistent command of the strike zone with his 82-84 mph fastball. Offered one of the better offspeed pitches at the event; the hard 70-73 mph breaking ball shows sharpness in break.

Ian Seymour, LHP/OF, St. Johns, 2017
Scouting Report: 5-foot-11, 175 pounds with an average frame. The left handed pitcher shows good feel on the mound as he offers long, easy arm action and repeatable mechanics. Featuring plenty of arm-side run, his 80-82 mph fastball will prove tough for hitters to square up consistently. His breaking ball is thrown with near fastball arm speed and shows tight spin at 69-70 mph. Also throws a 70-71 mph changeup that exhibits fading action. From the outfield he uses a good crow hop and throws from a loose, high-¾ slot with some effort at 83 mph. Left-handed hitter that starts open and gets to even. Easy stroke that his slightly uphill with 87 mph exit velocity.

Jason Couto, RHP/1B, Dighton-Rehoboth Regional, 2017
Scouting Report: 5-foot-10, 190-pound build. On the mound the right-handed showed average effort on his delivery with good direction and tempo. Every pitch he threw had a lot of life and movement to it. From over top his fastball looks like a cutter at 71-73 mph with late cut and occasional sink. His 12/6 breaking ball has a big, gradual break at 58-61 mph. Showcased a changeup with cut and sink at 64-65 mph.

Michael DiBari, RHP/3B, Bridgewater Raynham, 2017
Scouting Report: 6-foot-3, 155-pound projectable frame. The long armed right-hander has a slow tempo delivery with minimal effort and lands slightly closed. From an easy, high-¾ slot he showed good command of his fastball at 76-78 mph with arm-side run. His breaking ball at 63-65 mph had good 11/5 tilt with command. Tendency to slow down on his changeup at 66 mph with occasional sink. From third base he shows above average range and a clean exchange. From an easy, high-¾ slot he shows 70 mph arm strength across the diamond. Right-handed hitter that stands tall and starts his hands away from his body. Uses a leg kick and the swing is a little and gets in and out of the zone. Registered 80 mph exit velocity and ran 7.58-60.

Michael Doyle, C, Boston Latin, 2017
Scouting Report: 5-foot-10, 180-pound solid frame. From behind the dish is starts with a wide base. Shows above average footwork with a clean transfer. Throws from a high-¾ slot with pop times of 2.05-2.26 and 74 mph arm strength. Right-handed hitter with a wide base. Flat path has some strength, but need to stay more balance. Registered top exit velocity of 73 mph off a tee and ran 7.94-60.

Nicholas Carpenter, 3B/RHP, Mashpee, 2017
Scouting Report: 5-foot-8, 170 pounds with a small, athletic frame. The right handed pitcher throws through a high ¾ slot with short arm action. In his session he started to get stronger on the mound as more time passed; his fastball sat between 76-78 mph but then jumped up to 79-80 mph near then end. His breaking ball exhibits 10/4 tilt while sitting between 63-65 mph. Also throws a harder 68-71 mph slider. Regular effort in delivery. In the infield he fields the ball into his body with a loose arm from a ¾ slot with 69 mph velocity across the diamond. Right-handed hitter that starts slightly open and uses a little toe tap to get to even. Short compact swing with good rotation on his lower ½ with 73 mph exit velocity and ran 7.96-60.

Noah MacGlashing, OF/3B, Pittsfield HS (NH), 2017
Scouting Report: 5-foot-10, 160-pound solid build. From the outfield he tends to field the ball behind him and does a good job positioning himself for his throw. From a short, high-¾ slot he showed 74 mph arm strength. Right-handed hitter that starts open. Collapse his back side with a slightly uphill swing. Registered top exit velocity of 73 mph and ran 7.14-60.

Owen Batchelder, LHP/OF, Souheagan, 2017
Scouting Report: 6-foot-3, 170 pounds with a long, projectable body. The southpaw offers a consistently repeatable delivery while featuring long, clean arm action through a ¾ slot. Velocity should continue to increase for the 2017 prospect as he offers substantial arm-side run with his 80-81 mph fastball. Displays good feel with 63-66 mph curveball that exhibits some sharp 1/7 action. Also mixes in a 73-74 mph changeup.

Robert Cerulle, RHP/1B, Phillips Academy, 2017
Scouting Report: 6-foot-1, 185-pound projectable frame. On the mound he has an easy, slow tempo delivery that lands slightly closed. From a long, loose, high-¾ slot his fastball sits 77-79 mph with down angle. He is able to command his breaking ball at 66 mph with solid 11/5 tilt. Showcased a changeup with good arm speed at 67-69 mph with arm-side run.

Sam Cooper, RHP/1B, Keene (NH), 2017
Scouting Report: 6-foot-3, 190-pound strong build. On the mound the projectable right-handed really open eyes especially for his age. He has a compact delivery and throws from a short, high-¾ slot. His fastball is sneaky fast and gets on you at 82-84 mph with arm-side run. His breaking ball is hard and sharp at 73-74 mph with 11/5 tilt. Showcased an above average changeup at 76-77 mph with arm-side run and occasional sink.

Sam Phipps, SS/RHP, Framingham, 2017
Scouting Report: 5-foot-9, 170-pound strong, stocky build. On the mound he showed solid command of all three pitches. He does a good job keeping weight over his back leg in his delivery and opens up at foot strike. From over top his fastball sat 77-78 mph topping out at 80 mph with down angle and occasional arm-side run. Showed good depth on his 12/6 breaking ball at 69-70 mph. Threw an above average changeup at 72-74 mph with good arm speed and arm-side run. In the infield he shows average range with a good exchange. Able to throw from different arm angles with 72 mph velocity across the diamond. Right-handed hitter that stand tall and uses a leg kick to load. Easy stroke that is short to the ball with 81 mph exit velocity and ran a 7.5-60.

Tyler Gomes, C/RHP, Franklin, 2017
Scouting Report: 6-foot, 189-pound big, strong build. On the mound he starts with his knees bent then a slow tempo delivery that lands slightly closed. Throws from a high-¾ slot that he releases by his ear with his fastball sitting 68-70 mph. Shows a 12/6 curveball with good depth at 60-61 mph. Has good arm speed on his changeup at 63-64 mph with fade to it. From behind the plate he tends to stand straight up on his transfer and flies open on his throws. Pop times ranging between 2.26-2.36 and 65 mph velocity to second base. Right-handed hitter with some strength in his swing. Little leg kick with strong lower ½ and moves his back foot on contact. Registered top exit velocity of 69 mph off a tee and ran 7.57-60.
