Season Outlook
Bennett is ready to make a longer playoff run for 2016 after they lost a one-run battle to eventual state champion Chopticon in 2015. They have a strong core of seniors that include Tyler Dunn, Joey Geary, Charlie Kerrigan, and Cade Rousseau. Rousseau and Kerrigan make for an experienced left side of the infield and in the lineup. Junior 1B Cade Hurley will provide some pop to the lineup along with junior Grason Winterbottom. Keep an eye out for other new faces in junior INF Kaleb Cline and sophomore C Tyler Shockley. Offensively the Clippers should have nice balance throughout their lineup once again and be tough from top to bottom.

On the mound look for the 1-2 combination of Tyler Dunn and Connor Banks to anchor the staff this season. Dunn was a key arm during the season last year that has the ability to change arm angles while also being able to throw a big breaking ball and should give the Clippers a chance to win every time out. Banks came on strong last season after coming up from JV during the back half of the season and has a nice three pitch combo from the left side. Geary, Rousseau, Shockley, and junior Matt Chrysostome will provide depth to the bullpen as well. Keep an eye on the Clippers to make a run this year in the 3A state tournament.
