Season Outlook
Northwest is hoping to build off the 2015 season where they lost in the sectional semi-final against eventual 4A state champion Gaithersburg HS. Leading the returning starters are Mac Adelman and Josh Netterville. Adelman hit .437 for the Jaguars during the season starting 18 games and should provide a presence behind the plate as well. Netterville, an East Carolina recruit, might be the fastest player in Maryland with speed in the 6.4 ??? 6.5 range. The switch-hitter is very talented and has plenty of raw ability left on the field. Last year he hit .349 for the Jaguars and was 9-for-11 in stolen bases. Keep an eye out for St. John???s (DC) transfer Ryan Kennington to add depth as well as 2017 Michael Yuille to bring some potential pop to the lineup. Dylan Jaeger should also give the Jaguars another option behind the plate.

Northwest will have to find a replacement on the mound for ace Joseph Brauch from last season.  Brauch had 43 innings on the mound and a 3.09 ERA. Look for Adelman to add from last season with his 21.1 innings in 2015 with a 0.98 ERA leading to a 4-0 record. Griffin Bubb could see an increased role after being a mainstay in the bullpen leading the team in appearances with 10 and a 1.62 ERA. Look out for 2017 Zach Greber to add depth to the staff this season. Overall, the Jaguars are going to have to find some returners to step into to new roles on the offensive end after losing a big group of seniors in 2015.
