Season Outlook
The Hawks will be returning some key players this year, giving them a good shot at a conference title. The Hawks will be led by Tyler Campbell and Logan Gilbert, who will be teammates again after high school at Wilmington University. Campbell will be the ace on the mound for the Hawks. He will be looking to improve on last year’s 3-1 record with a 2.80 ERA. Campbell shows great control on the bump with his 30 strikeouts to only eight walks.

Gilbert will look to be the number two behind Campbell. With the defense behind the pitching, Coach Rodger anticipates them to make all routine plays with the chance to make the spectacular. Look for the Hawks defensive side of the ball to be their strong point.

Jarrett Wallace will look to be the table setter offensively. Having to replace a few holes in their line up, the Hawks may be looking to manufacture some runs. Jack McDermott will be someone the team can rally around. Cancer Survivor missed the 2015 season due to Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. The disease is in remission and Jack is stronger than ever. The Hawks started "McDermott Strong" last year honoring Jack as the 28th member of the program.
