Season Outlook
Williamsport returns a key core of the roster from their 15-6 campaign last year as they made it all the way to 2A regional quarterfinals. Leading the way are OF/P Matt Malphurs and Fairmont State commit P/OF Bryce Ruppenthal. Jake Arnone rounds out the returning outfield for the Wildcats. They also return the right side of the infield in 2B Caden Keplinger and 1B Gage Kyler

Two important positions the Wildcats will need to find replacements at are behind the plate and at the shortstop position. Gone are C Colby Byers and SS Sinjin Shoop, both key cogs in the Williamsport offense and defense. Robert Carr (SS) and JP Melby (C) both have experience at the varsity level and look for both to fill in at the positions. Look for 2017 pitchers Matthew Harsh and Logan Wilmoth to also add depth to the Williamsport pitching staff.  Harsh is a transfer to Williamsport this season from the left side who is also ranked in the PBR Maryland Class of 2017 rankings.

The Wildcats look to improve upon their season in 2015.  It will be tough to replace Byer and Shoop, but look for a big year from Ruppenthal and another arm to step up as Williamsport hopes to regain their state championship form of 2012.
