Upper Chesapeake Bay Athletic Conference (UCBAC)

Bohemia Manor  

2024 Record: 13-5

13-5 record a year ago propels the Eagles into 2025 with high hopes in making a deep run throughout this conference. Bo Manor returns a plethora on both sides of the ball and adds an ultra-intriguing transfer in two-way Luke Yates. Look for Senior Chris Harris, Evan Wilson and Luke Yates to lead the staff, with depth provided by fellow seniors Austin Farrow, Brayden Valle and standout closer Logan Hall. At the dish, the Eagles return standout senior backstop Cole Meffley in the middle of the order with depth around him in Harris, Yates, Farrow, Valle, and Hall. Look for younger players such as sophomores Richie Zaun, Chase Holderer, and Bryce Buckingham to add depth and key AB’s throughout the spring.

Elkton Golden Elks  

2024 Record: 11-9

Elkton enters 2025 with some of the best top-end talent in the conference, returning a strong two-headed monster in Caleb Potter and James LaManna, both of which have the ability to match up well against any opposing lineup in the conference. Junior Kaleb Kennedy, along with LaManna look to take that next step at the dish and lead this fairly young offense deep into the playoffs. If this pitching staff stays consistent, and some younger players add reliable depth on the backend, look for this Elkton squad to make some serious noise not only through the conference, but the state playoffs as well.

Fallston Cougars  

2024 Record: 15-7

After a successful 2024 campaign that saw Fallston take the region championship, look for 2025 to be a slight down year for the Cougars, as Junior Zach Loewe is the lone returning starter from their team a year ago. Look for a junior led pitching staff consisting of Reese Conley, Aiden Stromberger, and Carter Flanagan to lead the way, with an offense built around Zach Loewe, Tyler Conrad, and transfer Luca Santoro. Younger, inexperienced players will be called upon to make an impact and we see this potentially leading to a step back for Fallston in 2025.

Harford Tech Cobras  

2024 Record: 12-5

After an early exit in the region playoffs a year ago, Harford Tech looks to make a deeper run in this year’s playoffs. The Cobras bring back their ace in senior CJ Scism and brings with him a strong battery mate in junior Joshua Hays. Look for junior Aiden Sullivan to add some key innings on the bump and be a key contributor at the dish alongside fellow junior Zach Lane. This lineup certainly has intrigue to it, as Scism, Sullivan, Hays, and Lane all come off ~.300 average seasons. 

North Harford Hawks  

2024 Record: 8-14

North Harford had a strong 2024 playoff run, highlighted by a breakout season from sophomore Collin Kight. Expect the Hawks ace to lead them once again in 2025, as they should be a big-time contender within the UCBAC and within Class 2A. Another name to watch on the mound is senior Matthew Hart to provide key innings. Depth on the offensive side of the ball will be a question mark, but names such as the Diel brothers; Tucker and Ty, Collin Kight, and Jackson Armiger should provide at-bats in key situations.

Patterson Mill Huskies 

2024 Record: 13-13

2024 was a special season for the Huskies, advancing all the way to the 1A state championship before ultimately falling in a close contest to Brunswick. 2025 brings back a couple names who look to lead this Patterson Mill squad on both sides of the ball. On the bump, look for Noah Thomas and Mason Hemelt to lead the charge with depth provided by an intriguing sophomore in two-way Brycen Hunter. Standout backstop in junior Tre McInnes returns to be the star-studded bat throughout the lineup. Look for names such as Clayton Mathios, Hemelt, and Braden Beauchamp to provide some quality ABs throughout the spring.
