1A West Region I

Jamie’s Winner: Allegany Campers

Cole’s Winner: Allegany Campers

Write-Up: “The Campers have been the team to beat in this region for a while now and we don’t see much changing in 2025. Coming off yet another region championship in 2024, and the return of highly talented players on both sides should see Allegany make another deep run through the state tournament.”

1A West Region II

Jamie’s Winner: Brunswick Railroaders

Cole’s Winner: Brunswick Railroaders

Write-Up: “The defending 1A State Champs are back and have an even deeper roster entering the 2025 campaign than they did in 2024. The return of standout Ty Kaunas and an intriguing transfer in Hunter Reed makes for this offense to be consistently explosive throughout the spring and set the Railroaders up for another deep playoff run. Plenty of talent scattered across this region, however, the balance and firepower that Brunswick has at their disposal should be too much for any other team in the 1A West II.”

1A East Region I

Jamie’s Winner: St. Michaels Saints

Cole’s Winner: Colonel Richardson Colonels

Jamie’s Write-Up: “Colonel Richardson has been the kryptonite for the Saints over the past few years, and I believe this is the year that the Saints find a way to get past them and win a region title. The obvious opposition is Jordan Regulski, and his dominance carries a ton of weight, however, the balance that St. Michaels shows on both sides of the ball makes me believe that this may be the year. I see both juggernauts locking horns in the Region Title game again, and in a tight one, I’ll take the “upset”.”

Cole’s Write-Up: “This is virtually a two-man race; Saint Michaels vs Jordan Regulski. Saint Michaels may have the better roster on paper and possess more depth on both sides of the ball, but Colonel possesses the best player between the two teams. Jordan Regulski beat Saint Michaels in ALL three matchups last season, and until the Saints prove that they can take him down, I have to take Colonel to repeat in the region once again.”

1A East Region II

Jamie’s Winner: Snow Hill Eagles

Cole’s Winner: Mardela Warriors

Jamie's Write-Up: “Snow Hill has a new coach at the helm, and I see the Eagles making a deep and spirited run in 2025. I like this offense and the firepower, especially in the heart of the lineup that it possesses, and the pitching should be able to be competitive.”

Cole's Write-Up: “Mardela took the region last year for the first time in school history, and I believe that this roster is fully capable of repeating once again. The Warriors possess a strong senior class that gains another year under their belt as they look to take another step forward throughout the Bayside Conference and through Class 1A. Depth on both sides will be the difference maker for this squad as Mardela enters 2025 as the likely favorite.”

1A North Region I

Jamie’s Winner: Patterson Mill Huskies

Cole’s Winner: Bohemia Manor Eagles

Jamie's Write-Up: “The Huskies made an impressive run in 2024, eventually falling in the 1A State Title game to Brunswick in a close 4-1 ballgame, and I see them making yet another deep run in 2025. It’s another exciting roster filled with impact players on both sides of the ball, and the pitching depth the Huskies possess I believe should get them over the top.”

Cole's Write-Up: “Bo Manor entered last year’s regional playoffs as the #1 seed before ultimately falling to region winner and 1A state runner-up, Patterson Mill. I like the Eagles to get their revenge in 2025 behind a strong 1-2 punch in Luke Yates and Evan Wilson that’ll hold down the front end of the rotation. Patterson Mill and Harford Tech could be a threat, but I’ll take a bit of an upset in Bohemia Manor.”

1A North Region II

Jamie’s Winner: Pikesville Panthers

Cole’s Winner: Liberty Lions

Jamie's Write-Up: “Pikesville lost a hard-fought region championship to Liberty a year ago, and I believe the Panthers enter 2025 with a chip on their shoulders. A senior heavy team with depth on both sides of the ball, look for Senior Isaac Garonzik to take the reins on this team and lead them deep through the playoffs, including avenging a region championship loss a year ago.”

Cole's Write-Up: “I’m going to represent Carroll County here and take the Liberty Lions to conquer the North Region II once again. The Lions put together an impressive 2024 campaign before running into eventual state champion Brunswick in the state quarterfinals, losing 5-2. Expect a big year from Liberty’s lineup with big time names such as Nate Martin and Carter Shanks to lead the charge. All looks in line for the Lions to repeat as region champions once again.”

1A South Region I

Jamie’s Winner: Edmondson-Westside Red Storm

Cole’s Winner: Edmondson-Westside Red Storm

Write-Up: “Edmondson-Westside won the region in relatively easy fashion a year ago, scoring 33 runs in their two games before getting beat by CMIT-North in the quarterfinals. A perennial powerhouse in the region, we don’t see much change in the success of the Red Storm in 2025.” 

1A South Region II

Jamie’s Winner: CMIT-North Tigers

Cole’s Winner: CMIT-North Tigers

Write-Up: “The Tigers rolled through the region a year ago, scoring 44 runs in two games to win the region title. We’re going to stick with the hot hand, although the departure of standout Brice Johnson will be large shoes to fill on the offensive side. Look for experience gained by younger players and the return of a few impact players on both sides to once again pay dividends for the Tigers throughout this region in 2025.”
