We continue our spring high school previews and projections with a look at 15 "Picks to Click" as we inch closer to the 2025 baseball season. Highlighted in these stories are players that we believe are in contention for "Player of the Year" or "Pitcher of the Year" and we will give a detailed analysis, including video on each. Next up, we would like to highlight Dallas Brooks from John Carroll High School.

Dallas Brooks C / 1B / JOHN CARROLL SCHOOL, MD / 2025There's little to no argument to be made that John Carroll possesses one of the more feared lineups across the state, returning multiple high octane bats with experience and a chip on their shoulder. A player that may be the most motivated entering his senior season is Dallas Brooks, a catcher that de-committed from the University of Maryland and finds himself has the hottest commodity when it comes to uncommitted talent in the state. A left-handed, power-hitting backstop with loud strength to both gaps, Brooks not only showcases consistent barrel whip and power, but can also hit for a high average with the ability to spray to all fields with authority. Coming off a strong 2024 campaign, look for Brooks to take that next step this spring and add his name to "Player of the Year" conversations. |
