The PBR Maryland class of 2017 were recently released before the Thanksgiving holiday. This latest update now features the top 90 players in the PBR Maryland area of coverage. For the class of 2017, there is still plenty of time for shifts and new players to make their way into the rankings over the course of the next two years until their graduation. This is a direct result of our commitment to being the No. 1 source for high school baseball.

After showing much development over the course of this past year, Scott Prutting of Landon made the biggest jump in our rankings climbing up 34 spots into the Top 30. His recent workout at the Fall Underclass Invitational was his best to date, showing increased arm strength, power, and speed. Prutting showed potential at the plate and a quick first step at third base. His improvement has not gone unnoticed.

Calvert Hall C Garrett Matheny also saw his rank go up from the top 40 to now at 28. Matheny has shown consistent athleticism throughout the year. His athletic frame and sub 7.0 speed makes him an intriguing prospect in the 2017 class.

Recent commits Jack Schroeder (VCU) and Gunner Barnard (Maryland) also saw themselves move up the rankings into the Top 30 as well. Other notable players to move up the rankings include Kristan Curry Jr, Myles Nicholson, Avery Tunnell, and Jared Carr.
