The PBR Maryland Power Rankings are for the Top 25 programs in the state, public and private combined.

  1. Riverdale Baptist
Talented team won the Private school MD tournament.  Will be tough to replace Brody Cook and Seth Williams.
  2. Archbishop Spalding
MIAA A Champs play a complete game, and the offense only got stronger as the season progressed.
  3. Georgetown Prep
IAC Champs have talented lineup and will be a loaded team in 2016
  4. DeMatha
Alkire had a month for the ages helping the Stags reach the WCAC championship game.
  5. Chopticon
The 3A champions have a tough lineup and could beat anyone when Ljay Newsome pitches.
  6. Gaithersburg
The 4A champs return a lot of key pieces in ‘16.  Biggest question is who will replace Trey Martinez.
  7. Cavert Hall
Will be tough to replace Alex Kriss, Nick Delp, and Finn brothers (Mike and Jack), but Cardinals should have talented team for ‘16
  8. Severna Park
Championship run came up just short, but program looks to have some quality back and will need an arm to take Ryan Yesner’s place.
  9. Southern
2A State champs have a nice blend of talent on the roster, but will be hard to replace Truman Thomas and Billy Albaugh.
  10. Landon
Had a very strong year and could have some epic matchups in the next few years with Georgetown Prep.
  11. Brunswick
1A State Champs impressed with their talented group of seniors that came together.  Wanger is an arm to lead them in ‘16
  12. Mt. Hebron
Mark Smith had an amazing playoff run for the Vikings as they were finally able to get past Reservoir.  Jack Schroeder looks to be an impressive 2017.
  13. McDonough
Would not be surprised to see this team in the 1A state championship next year as well.  Talented group of player coming back and getting a year older.
  14. Colonel Richardson
Tough when you only loss comes in the state semi-finals.  A great year and strong core (Dylan Nepert, Jaret Bennet) will be back to lead for ‘16
  15. St. Mary’s
MIAA B champs had another outstanding year and have strong group back for their first year playing in MIAA A next year.
  16. Parkside
Tough loss in playoffs.  Interesting to see if the young talent can get program back in state playoffs.
  17. Middletown
Senior laiden team will be interesting to see what new pieces will step in for 2016.  Jacob Paulishak will be looked upon for increased role.
  18. Eastern Tech
Great run for this team in the playoffs.  Couldn’t get the championship but team surprise some on outside this year.
  19. La Plata
Another stellar year for the Warriors.  Team will be ready for ’16.Stockwell could have a big year
  20. Mount St. Joseph
Gaels lose some key players, but also have talent coming up.  Should be interesting for ’16.
  21. Stephen Decatur
Bayside South champs season comes up just short. Will be tough to replace Donahue and Meekins.
  22. Reservoir
Jack Barry and Jon Mierzwa did a great job helping this team make their run after the injury to Cody Morris.  Lots of shoes to fill in the program.
  23. Paint Branch
Great year for Panthers ended earlier than expected.  Pattishall and Thomas will have to play large roles to get Panthers going in ’16.
  24. Good Counsel
WCAC player of the year Stephen Schoch had a great year for the program. Keep an eye out for 2017 Joey Goodwin.
  25. North Harford
Bowling’s came an inning away from getting team to state championship this year.  What will ’16 bring?
