With seemingly everyone's seasons starting on different dates this spring due to Covid-19, we have decided to create two separate rankings this year based on Public and Private schools. All Maryland Private schools will be considered in this year's weekly PBR Maryland Private Schools Top 10 rankings while only Public schools will be considered in our traditional PBR Maryland Public Schools Power 25. An update to these rankings will continue to be released every Monday throughout the season.

Final Update: With the WCAC wrapping up their regular season this past week and not holding playoffs this year, we can finally put a bow on the Private Schools season. The Georgetown Prep Hoyas go wire to wire as our No. 1 team in our Private Schools Top 10 after finishing the season as the IAC Champions with a perfect 14-0 record.

MIAA A Conference Champion Gilman went undefeated in their tournament run and finish the season as our No. 2 team with a 17-8 overall record. The Greyhounds moved up and down the rankings quite a bit throughout the regular season but really turned it on the first week in May and never looked back. Following a mid-week loss to Caravel Academy (DE) on May 4th, Gilman won their final six games of the season in route to the title.

Archbishop Spalding began the season as our No. 3 team in the Private Schools Top 10 but quickly rose to No. 2 after defeating Preseason No. 2 Calvert Hall in the first week. It was a spot they would retain for ten consecutive weeks until the regular season champion Cavs were beaten by Gilman for the title. They end the year back at No. 3 with a 23-6-1 overall record.

Beginning the year and finishing the year No. 4 are the Bishop McNamara Mustangs from the WCAC after finishing this past week strong with two wins over DC powerhouse St. John's College 8-1 and Good Counsel 7-3.

Mount St. Joseph remains No. 5 in our final update following a strong campaign in the MIAA A Conference this season. The Gaels entered the Top 10 after Week 2 and rose all the way up to number No. 4 towards the end of the year but went just one-and-two in the tournament for an early exit.

Good Counsel began the year at No. 6 where they fall to in our final update this week after splitting the final week of the regular season defeating DeMatha 12-1 before falling 7-3 to Bishop McNamara.

John Carroll slides down one spot with Bishop McNamara jumping ahead of them following their strong finish. And Calvert Hall, Archbishop Curley, and MIAA B Conference Champion Boys' Latin round out numbers eight, nine, and ten in the Final Private Schools Top 10.
