Today we release the Initial class of 2019 rankings in the Maryland and Delaware area. As with all initial rankings, this class will see the most changes as players will be added through the years as they go toward their senior year. With our initial release of the 2019 rankings, we highlight the top ten 2019 graduates that we have had the opportunity to see thus far.

Heading up the top of our rankings is the RHP/INF from DeMatha HS in Thomas Keehn.  Keehn has showed intrigue on both the mound and at the plate and should be considered this early as a potential two-way talent. On the mound, Keehn’s projectable body has already translated into an 82-85 mph fastball and looks to have more in the tank with his repeatable delivery with regular effort. Keehn is the lone Maryland/Delaware player in the PBR initial Overall 2019 rankings. He spends his summer ball playing for the Richmond Braves.

At No. 2 of the rankings is Calvert Hall catcher Parker Landwehr.  Landwehr has been impressive since we first saw him at the Underclass Trials a year ago.  A week ago at the Maryland / Delaware Top Prospect Games, Landwehr continued to shine showing off his development as a player and bright future potential. Landwehr plays his summer ball with the Evoshield Canes.

At the No. 3 spot is RHP Chris Chaney of Saint James.  Has a projectable, lanky frame and has made great strides playing with the Marucci Stars program this summer. He has already shown command of his breaking ball with potential and was a major contributor as a freshman at Saint James both on the mound and at the plate.

Rounding out the top ten include Reece Early, Matt Warrington, Justin Caesar, Tyler Locklear, Ryan Gleason, Colby Buckheit, and Nick Cinquanto. Pitching again shows the most early as six of the ten players have pitching backgrounds in the initial rankings. Again the 2019 rankings will have some of the most turnaround in the coming months and year, as we are excited to get out and discover more from the class through the rest of the summer heading into the fall and winter months. Two player just outside the top ten but ones to keep an eye on include Spencer McNamee (Saint James) and Travis Rinker (Georgetown Prep). But enough talk.  Take a look at our Initial Top Ten.
