Summer season means that recruiting for most college programs is about to shift into second gear. Coaches travel the land high-and-low in their attempt to find future players to better their roster.  As a player, this can be a nerve racking time.  There is no need to panic, as coaches will be out to see you play.  Control the controllable things and work on your game.

PBR Maryland will be doing features throughout the summer highlighting players that have the ability to play at the college level. Today we focus on Michael Richardson a 2016 middle infielder from East New Market, MD.

Scouting Report

Michael Richardson

A well framed 6-foot 160-pound SS. Displayed balanced footwork, clean actions, and soft hands from the shortstop position. The athletic middle infielder had a quick exchange and a short arm action from a high three-quarter arm angle at 82 mph from the infield. Offensively, Richardson is a gap-to-gap hitter with a short path to the ball with balance. Quick hands and fluid rhythm.  Richardson impressed with his 6.88 60 yard dash and 84 mph exit velocity.
