#7 Walter Johnson Wildcats

The 4A classification continues to produce top tier talent, and the 4A West Region I is one of the best, with realistically 5 of the 6 teams possessing a realistic shot at winning the 4A state title. Walter Johnson is one of these 5 and has one of the deepest rosters across the state. They have their ace in Leo Simpson (Radford), with uncommitted standout Junior in Jay Wandell providing a really nice one-two punch for the Wildcats front end of the rotation. Junior Aidan Watts and Sophomores Andreas Johnson, Nolan Ross and Shaun Rudick will also be relied on to provide key innings throughout the Spring. Offensively, the Wildcats will lean heavily on Senior infielder Braden Lachapelle (Macalester) and Juniors Vance Bonior and Jake Goldberg to bring thump and balance to the lineup. An intriguing Sophomore in Brady Chan should also provide some depth and looks to take that next step in a very deep MD/DE Class of 2025.
