Season Snapshot

Calvert Hall features our top player in the 2019 class and draft prospect Jose Torres. The uber talented and speedy Torres will man shortstop and sit in the top of the lineup this year for the Cardinals who need to replace quite a few bats from a year ago. Roberto Barranca (Washington College), Dominic Freeberger (University of North Carolina - Asheville), Ethan Koster (Army - West Point), and JP Murphy (High Point University) have all moved on. Outfielder Garrett McIlhenney (Misericordia) looks like he will leadoff for head coach Lou Eckerl with Torres, Parker Landwehr (Boston College), and Antonio Barranca filling the middle spots in the order. Keep an eye out for freshman Lamar King who is very talented, and could potentially see some time this spring for the Hall. On the mound, the Cardinals will look to Pete Marchineck, Grant Duemmel and some young talent to add depth to the staff with the key loss of Daniel O'Connor. Keep an eye on Tyler Wright who could be a nice addition to the staff this season. Calvert Hall looks to have yet another strong team in 2019 and figures to be one of the top contenders for the MIAA "A Conference crown.
