It's hard to believe but the start of the 2019 Maryland high school baseball season is almost here. Every week throughout the season we will release our Power 25, ranking the top twenty-five teams from across the Old Line State. Today we continue our Preseason Power 25 countdown by taking a look at our #24 team, the CH Flowers Jaguars from Prince George's County. Be sure to stay tuned as we release one team each weekday leading up to the release of our 2019 #1 Preseason Power 25 team on March 19th. Then, on March 20th our PBR Maryland staff will release our final preseason predictions for the upcoming 2019 season.

Season Snapshot

In 2018, CH Flowers asserted themselves as the top team in Prince George's County and carried that momentum all the way to their school's first ever MPSSAA Class 4A State Final Four appearance. Under 4th year head coach George Brown, the Jaguars look poised to once again make another strong run at a state championship returning four staters and six pitchers from a last year's team. All everything shortstop and University of Hartford commit Tremayne Cobb Jr. is back for his senior season as the leader of the team and is joined by four other seniors who figure to play key roles. OF Josh Cochrane and INF Jaydon Whitehead join Cobb and star sophomore C Brandon Bradshaw as leaders on the offense while seniors Terrell Delaney and Chase Thompson look to bolster a strong core of pitchers. Juniors Leonard Meade III and Keith Wallace are also expected to help out on the mound alongside Meade III, Wallace, Cobb Jr., and Bradshaw. 2018's 18-4, Prince George's County Champion, and 4A South Regional Championship team set the bar high but Coach Brown and this year's Jaguars will look to repeat those accomplishments and win the one thing that alluded them a year ago; the MPSSAA 4A State Championship.
