Season Snapshot

Gilman looks poised to make another run at winning the MIAA "A" Conference Championship in 2019 with a majority of the team returning. The Greyhounds came up just short losing to a very good Archbishop Curley squad last season in the Championship game at Harford CC. Back to anchor the strong pitching staff this season are Peter Heubeck (Wake Forest), Danny Rosenfield (Davidson), Jackson Tacka (Navy), and Tripp Myers. Keep an eye out for youngster Matt Leikus who could also make an impact on the mound.

Offensively Gilman looks strong as well but will need some guys to step up to fill the void left behind by all everything and now freshman at the University of Maryland, Maxwell CostesLeading the way will be Pierce Bennett (Wake Forest), Casey Bishop, Tripp Myers, Tyler Martinez (San Francisco), Michael Mallas, Jackson McCambridge, Ryan Williamson, and Gabe Gonzales. This is a talented returning core which will make 10th year head coach Larry Sheets' Greyhounds a very tough matchup throughout the season. Expect to see them at the top of the MIAA "A" Conference standings throughout the season and fighting for it all come tournament time once again in 2019.
