With the spring season heating up, its time to release our first rendition of the Maryland Power 25. Taking the No.1 spot is John Carroll out of the MIAA A who are off to a hot start at 13-0 on the year. In at No. 2 is traditional Maryland power Riverdale Baptist, who have already amassed 22 games this season. At No. 3 is surprising Sherwood in Montogmery County, who have got a hot start in what many assumed would be a transition year for the Warriors. At No. 4 is Severna Park off to a 9-1 start in the tough Arundel conference. Rounding out our top five is Archbishop Curley, sitting at No. 2 in the MIAA A at 14-3.

Currently quite a bit of parity around state, with the MIAA A, Arundel County, and Bayside Conferences leading the way with 3 teams apiece. Taking those that just missed into consideration and the SMAC would lead all seven teams. The battle of the conference this season has been very tough and it is looking like we will not know who will play for a SMAC title until the last moment.

for those of you counting at home, the 4A leads with the most teams in the rankings and the 1A East and 2A West are tied for the most teams in their respective regions that are ranked.

Enough of the talk, take a look at our Power 25
