With seemingly everyone's seasons starting on different dates this spring due to Covid-19, we have decided to create two separate rankings this year based on Public and Private schools. All Maryland Private schools will be considered in this year's weekly PBR Maryland Private Schools Top 10 rankings while only Public schools will be considered in our traditional PBR Maryland Public Schools Power 25. An update to these rankings will continue to be released every Monday throughout the season.

Week 6 Update: Preseason No. 1 Georgetown Prep remains atop our updated Private Schools Top 10 this week as they improved to 3-0 on the year with a 10-0 win at Episcopal (VA) on Thursday. The Hoyas are tremendously talented and have proven that by outscoring their opponents 33-1 in their first three games of the season. Meanwhile, No. 2 Archbishop Spalding continues to lead the MIAA following another perfect week which saw them defeat McDonogh, #5 Gilman and Delaware powerhouse Cape Henlopen 10-6 on Saturday to go 3-0. Archbishop Curley remains at No. 3 again this week as they defeated St. Mary's handily 17-8 on Monday before falling in a pitcher's duel Tuesday at John Carroll 1-0. Gilman also remains at No. 5 as they defeated previously ranked #7 Mount St. Joseph before losing to the No. 2 Cavaliers on Thursday. Moving up this week fresh off two walk-off wins and a perfect 3-0 week are the Patriots of John Carrol who climb to No. 7. John Carroll knocked off No. 3 Archbishop Curley 1-0 on Tuesday, Caravel Academy (DE) 8-7 on Wednesday, and St. Mary's 5-1 on Thursday. Following Tuesday's loss to No. 5 Gilman and with John Carroll hot last week, Mount St. Joseph falls this week to No. 9 as they slot one spot ahead of Calvert Hall whom they bounced back to beat on Thursday. No. 4 Bishop McNamara, No. 6 Good Counsel, and No. 8 DeMatha Catholic each begin their seasons this week so this will be the final update in which we hold their initial preseason spots.
