As we conclude our annual Mid-Atlantic Procase, we want to take a few minutes to dive in a little deeper on some of the players that were in attendance on August 13 at University of Richmond.

Frank Adamski 3B / John Carroll, MD / 2023

The Coastal Carolina commit possesses a lean, uber-athletic 6-0, 185 pound frame with plenty of room for added strength and mass. The hands work quick and explosive at the dish, showcasing fluid actions and strength to both gaps. Creates occasional whip in the barrel with some loft through and a slightly uphill swing path, producing a high percentage of fly balls and hard line drives. The strength is to the pull side at the moment, but has shown flashes of doubles power to both gaps that will only increase with added mass to the frame. The actions are clean and fluid at the hot corner, showcasing quick foot speed and above average range side-to-side. Getting back healthy, Adamski’s arm strength will continue to rise. Looking to make an immediate impact on a deep and talented Coastal Carolina roster in a few years, Adamski continues to trend in the right direction with one more high school year to play for a storied program in John Carroll.

Amari Allen LHP / 1B / Sherwood , MD / 2023

One of, if not the top uncommitted talents in the state, the physical 6-foot-3, 220 pound and 2020 Future Games participant, Allen continues to impress each time we see him. Coming off a stellar high school season, leading Sherwood to their second state title in as many years, while also taking home PBR Maryland’s Player of the Year honors, Allen has a ton to like in his game. The physical first baseman turned out the fourth highest max bat speed (79.7 mph), fourth best max hand speed (25.1) and the fourth highest max exit velocity (101 mph) at the event. Creates excellent lift through contact with eye-opening strength to the pull side, consistently back spinning balls to the right center gap with the best of them. An imposing presence in the box with the combination of plus bat speed, plus power and an upper 80’s/low 90’s fastball on the bump makes for a very intriguing uncommitted talent out of the Old Line State.

Dominic Moats OF / SS / Gilman, MD / 2024

A two-time Future Games participant (2021/2022) and recent University of Maryland recruit, the speedy, strong 6-0, 205 pound outfielder turned out the fifth best exit velocity (99 mph), third fastest 60-yard (6.62), highest 10-yard split (1.64), second highest 30-yard split (3.71) and third best top run speed (21.1 mph) at the event. The speed and physicality stand out, showcasing the ability to impact the game on both sides of the ball. Quick twitch actions in the outfield projects as a center field mold, as arm strength continues to increase year after year (84 mph at the event/ 85 mph best). The hands work quick at the dish with strength to both gaps, showcasing consistent line drive tendencies. A top of the lineup profile with the ability to bring some pop and obvious speed. The measurables are at an above average level and the way he carries himself on the field is impressive; upbeat, high energy and a great teammate.

Antonio Perrotta 1B / Georgetown Prep, MD / 2023

Another Future Games alum (2021), the University of Virginia recruit commands a physical 6-foot-4, 230 pound frame with plenty of strength throughout. Perrotta turned out the sixth highest Max Distance (372 ft) with a max exit velocity of 97 mph. The hands work quick and fluid through contact, creating loft to the pull side gap. Occasional whip in the barrel, Perrotta utilizes a strong line drive approach to both gaps with eye-opening pop to the pull side. Extension is created consistently, utilizing a strong core and hands that whip through the zone. A mainstay at first base, Perrotta showcases quick, agile feet with soft hands and an above average arm. As power numbers continue to rise, and consistency in the middle of a loaded Georgetown Prep offense, look for the physical first baseman to have a huge season this upcoming Spring, leading to his arrival at the University of Virginia.

Tommy Roldan LHP / OF / Georgetown Prep, MD / 2023

A mainstay as the number one player in the MD/DE Class of 2023, Roldan is an uber-projectable two-way player who impacts the game in all facets. The physical 6-foot-1, 200 pound University of Virginia recruit turned out the second highest Max Hand Speed (26.5), third highest Max Bat Speed (81.5), highest rotational acceleration (36.9 g), highest Max Exit Velo (105.4 mph), fourth highest Max Distance (374 ft), and was tied for the second highest Outfield Velo (92 mph) at the event. The metrics are advanced and Roldan continues to improve each time we see him. The actions at the dish are fluid and explosive, utilizing plus bat speed with barrel awareness and eye-opening strength to the pull side. Creates loft to the pull side gap with strong line drive tendencies. Consistent doubles power to both gaps should transfer nicely as more strength is added. Oh, and Roldan features a four pitch mix on the bump with the fastball in the high 80’s/low 90’s range. A special player who continues to trend up.

Jai Sample RHP / SS / Pro5 Baseball Academy NC, NC / 2023

The uber-projectable, athletic uncommitted two-way possesses a strong 6-foot-1, 175 pound frame. The athleticism and strength jumps out in all facets, turning out the second highest Max Bat Speed (83.3), fourth highest rotational acceleration (28.2 g), second highest Infield Velo (91 mph), and fifth highest Exit Velo (99 mph). Oh, and Sample runs a sub-7.00 60-Yard (6.95) and has a fastball in the upper 80’s/low 90’s range. At the dish, Sample creates a ton of torque in the hips with quick hands and fast barrel action through the zone. A line drive type hitter with strong tendencies to both gaps, Sample also showcases the ability to backspin balls to the pull side with loud doubles power. Transferring to Pro5 Academy in North Carolina, Sample’s talent will be missed in the Old Line State.

Angel Santiago-Cruz SS / RHP / Severna Park, MD / 2024

After a standout performance at this year’s Future Games, the talk amongst colleges has really picked up for the athletic 6-foot-2, 195 pound two-way player. The hands work quick at the dish, creating excellent barrel lag through with strength to both gaps. A middle of the field, line drive type hitter, Santiago-Cruz utilizes a fluid swing path with a slightly uphill plane. Showcasing consistent barrel control and balance, this bat looks to stay in the middle of the order for a long time. The hands work smooth and soft up the middle, showcasing solid range side-to-side with the ability to manipulate arm angles on throws across the diamond. The frame is projectable and the athleticism continues to be added.

Josh Skowronski 3B / OF / St. John's Catholic Prep, MD / 2023

One of my favorites to watch over the weekend was the uber-projectable 6-foot-4, 215 pound third baseman. The smooth swinging left handed hitter not only showcased a loud BP round, but the metrics backed up just about every facet of the game. The University of Kentucky recruit started off his day turning out the fourth highest 60-Yard (6.87), while also notching the fourth highest 10-Yard split (1.65) and fourth highest 30-Yard split (3.82). Notched a 96 mph Exit Velo and was tied for the fifth highest Infield velo at 87 mph across the diamond. Skowronski’s BP round was one of the more impressive rounds in my eyes, as he consistently laced hard line drives to both gaps, utilizing a simple, smooth stroke with a slightly uphill plane. The power is to the pull side, creating occasional loft to the right-center gap with a max distance of 357 feet. The arm strength is present at the hot corner, and looks to allow Skowronski to stay there in the near future.
