Dulaney High School is coming off a second place finish in the Baltimore County conference.  The 4A School made it to the Regional Semifinals of the MPSSAA state baseball tournament where they were eliminated by Perry Hall.  Coach Ryan Wolfsheimer has half of his lineup returning lead by SS Jake Sousa (Frostburg commit) and C Andrew Sugarman (Oberlin). Pitching will be very deep with eight arms but will also be very young.  Harris Lipinski looks to anchor the staff as one of the few upperclassmen in the rotation.

RETURNING STARTERS

TOP PLAYERS:
Jake Sousa
Andrew Sugarman

WILDCARD:
Harris Lipinski.  Lipinski is a transfer from Boy’s Latin HS and could possibly be one of the strongest pitchers in the county.  This year is set up to be a big one for the LHP as he could have a very strong season.

TEAM STRENGTH:
Hitting and Defense.  Sousa and Sugarman are two of the big cogs in the lineup for Dulaney.  They both will lead the offense.  Strong teams need to be strong up the middle and both of these players are at very important positions (Sousa – Shortstop, Sugarman – Catcher) and take charge of the team.

QUESTION MARK:
Power in the lineup.  Dulaney has a good hitting lineup but not many guys that can provide the extra base hit and knock in some runs.  A lot of those duties are going to ride on senior Ryan Wells and sophomore Drew Bossi.

OVERALL:
A lot of what happens with the team will depend on the consistency of the team.  Hving that strong middle presence with Sousa and Sugarman will help pace the team.  If some young players can step up and provide a spark to the lineup and rotation, Dulaney could be a surprise team this upcoming season.
