TEAM STRENGTHS
Hammond this year has an interesting dynamic to them.  They have a good amount of returning starters and they still have younger talent on their roster as well. The team feels strong in their pitching and offensive ability. They have a good group of players that will contribute nicely to that including senior Andy Weaver, Juniors David Hutchinson, and DaVonn Griffin. Griffin is an interesting talent in the outfield with ability to cover a lot of space and he can also create some havoc on the base paths.

QUESTION MARK
Depth is going to be the primary concern for the Golden Bears. The team does have a good mesh of talented players on the team, but they still need a few players to go from top to bottom and overall strength. Some returning players might take that next step for the team, as well as some new blood making their way.

WILDCARD
The coaching staff at Hammond are very excited about potential breakout seasons coming from Ryan, Ridgell, Sam Wiedorfer, and Calvin Smith. Ridgell and Wiedorfer are both sophomores with good talent level that will help the team and Smith is a junior looking to come into his own this year.

OVERALL
Hammond should be an interesting team to following in 2015. They have some good talent that are juniors or below that are mesh with some strong seniors. As long as health stays good and the lack of overall depth doesn???t plague them, 2015 should show a much improved Hammond Golden Bears.
