TEAM STRENGTHS
Parkside has a dynamic one-two combination on the mound with Hunter Parsons (Maryland Commit) and Brady Shreeves (George Washington). Parsons, a RHP with a great frame and ranked #122 in the overall 2015 PBR rankings, will lead the way. Not far behind is Shreeves, another talented arm pitching in the upper 80’s. These two pitchers will pace a talented pitching staff. The team has an abundance of experience as well coming off a long postseason run that came up just short in the state championship so this team should be playing with a chip on their shoulder.

QUESTION MARK
Parkside will need to replace three starters in the infield which will be hard to replace. They have a good mix of returning and fresh new talent coming in that could really fill the void and the team is looking for some players to step in and fill those roles.

WILDCARD
Parkside has a talented 2017 crop of players in LHP Grant Burleson, 3B Connor Shockley, and MIF Tolan Harrison.  All three have shown very good projection and ability both in the field and at the plate. Both Shockley and Harrison could fill in the holes in the infield and play roles in the team’s plans. Burleson is a very talented LHP that has a golden opportunity to learn from Parsons and Shreeves and will add even more depth to the talented pitching staff.

OVERALL
Parkside has very good talent and depth on their team from top to bottom in 2015. As we stated before, they will be playing with added motivation after coming up just short last year. It will not be easy however with the Bayside Conference having tough teams and Parkside will surely be getting the best from their competition day in and day out so they cannot afford to take any opponent lightly.  Look for Parkside to make another strong postseason run in 2015.
