Preseason All-State Session I
Positional Profile: RHP/3B
Body: 5’11”, 180 pounds. Strong, athletic body type.
Delivery: Starts with a controlled, small side rocker step into a belt high leg kick. Short arm action through his delivery. Is somewhat deceptive and hides the ball well. Delivery causes him to end falling off to 1B side of the mound.
Arm Action: RH. Throws downhill out of a low three-quarter arm slot.
FB: T85 mph, 82-83 mph. Displayed cut-action out of the hand.
CB: 66-68 mph. Thrown out of same arm slot as FB, tight 10/4 break.
CH: 73-74 mph. Thrown at near FB arm speed.
KN: 70-72 mph.
MD MoCo Fall Review
Strong, athletic body type and 5’10’’, 170 pound frame. Controlled side-step wind-up and high leg kick into a tall, compact balance point. Speeds up delivery and showed strong down-to-out lower half drive off the rubber. Lands square to the plate with an upright finish falling slightly off to the first base side at times. Throws with long arm action from a lower three-quarter slot with some effort. Creates quick arm speed through release. Fastball sat 81-82 mph and touched 83 mph. Breaking ball was 67-69 mph with tight spin and hard 10/4 sweeping action. Also threw a split low in the zone at 72-73 mph with hard 12/6 drop.
2019 Diamondskills All-American Camp
5-foot-10, 170-pound athletic build. Pace of delivery has some build-up after a side step to initiate the delivery. Shows a short arm action with quick arm speed throwing from a low three-quarter arm slot. Fastball sat between 80-82 mph with some arm side run. Changeup showed arm speed and intent with some late fade and should pair well with the fastball. Curveball showed 11/5 shape while being thrown at 59-60 mph with hard late action. Ran a 7.57 60.
MD Fall Invitational 11.3.18
Athletic body type and 5-foot-10, 170 pound frame. Controlled side-step wind-up and high leg kick into a quick, compact balance point. Strong down to out lower half drive off the rubber. Lands square to the plate with an upright finish. Throws with shorter arm action from a low three-quarters slot with some effort. Fastball sat 75-76 mph and touched 79 mph with some arm side run. Breaking ball was tight and had hard 11/5 shape at 61-63 mph. Change-up sat 74-76 mph.
