We wrap up our look back at the top statistical performances from this summer's PBR Maryland events with a look at the data collected from Blast. Using sensor technology that fits on the knob of a bat, without impeding the player, Blast Motion collected data to analyze every hitter’s swing at this year's four major PBR Maryland summer events. During batting practice, the Blast Motion sensors measured Swing and Impact Metrics across several categories. Swing metrics measure pre-impact mechanics centered around plane, connection, and rotation while Impact metrics measure pre-impact performance outcomes based on ball contact. Below are the top performers in five of the categories measured using the Blast Motion sensors.
