MD Preseason All State

Long projectable frame at 6-foot-4, 195-pounds. Athletic, square stance hitting from the right side. Strides forward on load, hands are back with a slight wrap and an arm bar. Level path, stays through extension, and fires the lower half with aggression. Showed some power potential as he continues to grow into his frame and add strength. Exit velocity was 80 mph. Active feet on approach in the infield. Fields the ball out front and showed a slower clean exchange. Arm action is longer throwing from a three-quarter arm slot at 74 mph across the field. Home-1st time was 4.77.  Pitched primarily out of the stretch with a quick low balance point before driving forward off of the backside. Shoulders are slightly uphill and lands on line. Arm circle is short and throws from a three-quarter arm slot with above average arm speed getting through. Fastball was 77-79 mph. Didn’t have great command of the fastball, but the pitch showed life and carry through the zone. Curveball was 68-70 mph with late tight break on it.

MD Eastern Shore Showcase

Tall, long, lanky body type and projectable 6-foot-4, 195 pound frame. Controlled side-step wind-up and high leg kick into a compact balance point. Smooth delivery, clean hand separation and some lower half drive. Long arm action throwing from a high three-quarters slot with easy effort. Lands square to the plate with an athletic, slightly upright finish. Fastball sat 76-78 mph and touched 79 mph. Breaking ball was 65-70 mph with tight spin and short 11/5 break. Change-up sat 73-76 mph.
