Over the next few weeks, leading up to the beginning of the 2025 MD High School season, our staff will be releasing our Preseason Power 25. This list will be comprised of public and private schools across the state that we feel have a strong chance of being successful in 2025.

#1 Archbishop Spalding Cavaliers

"The powerhouse of the MIAA is coming off back-to-back-to-back Conference titles and look to make it four in 2025. This program continues to reload talent, especially on the bump, as the Cavaliers return star-studded and high octane arms from a year ago in Nathan Wines, Arian Vargas, Peyton Mamula, Sam Houchens, and Brayden Robinson amongst a slew of others. The only potential question mark entering the spring is how explosive this offense can be. On paper, highly talented names open a ton of eyes, as the emergence of junior shortstop Braeden Martin should lead this offense at the top with plenty of depth behind him.

This roster is obviously exciting and there's no question in our minds that at the start, the Cavaliers are the favorites to repeat once again, however, this conference continues to get better and teams are starting to creep up behind Spalding to try to dethrone them."
