Over the next few weeks, leading up to the beginning of the 2025 MD High School season, our staff will be releasing our Preseason Power 25. This list will be comprised of public and private schools across the state that we feel have a strong chance of being successful in 2025.    

#11 Georgetown Prep Hoyas   

“Our first private school on the list, the defending IAC champions bring back some star-studded names in the heart of the lineup. The rotation will be the biggest question mark for the Hoyas. After losing a significant number of innings from last season, Prep will turn to a list of underclassmen to step up and pitch competitively. The good news is that they will return their front-end ace in Austin Weiss (Maryland) once he returns from injury. The high-powered lineup will be relied on heavily in 2025, and that’ll translate into another successful season if the offense comes hot out of the gate.”
