Over the next few weeks, leading up to the beginning of the 2025 MD High School season, our staff will be releasing our Preseason Power 25. This list will be comprised of public and private schools across the state that we feel have a strong chance of being successful in 2025.    

#13 Damascus Swarmin' Hornets   

“Head coach Pat Skellchock takes over a Damascus team eager to make a deep run in the 3A state tournament. After our look at this team on Saturday, there is much to be excited about. The top of the lineup can compete with anyone in the state, and this group of arms led by Mason Walter have shown that they can shut down offenses in a blink of an eye. If the bottom half of the lineup can show consistency, watch out for the Swarmin’ Hornets.”
