Over the next few weeks, leading up to the beginning of the 2025 MD High School season, our staff will be releasing our Preseason Power 25. This list will be comprised of public and private schools across the state that we feel have a strong chance of being successful in 2025.    

#2 Calvert Hall Cardinals   

"This Cardinals team has the makings to be very special in 2025, and the talent on both sides of the ball should be highly intriguing to watch all year long. Led by a two-headed monster on the bump, with a plethora of depth behind them, this year looks to be the strongest this pitching staff has looked in years and should provide Coach Kerr with much more flexibility throughout conference play. Offensively, look for Travis Peitz and Will Haacke to take that next step and be consistent power threats in the middle of the lineup, with a plethora of depth behind them. If the younger players step up, alongside a strong junior class, I have no doubt in my mind that Calvert Hall can make another deep run towards a conference title in 2025."
